Why you should join the military? pt 14
(I was trying to stay awake while driving home at 2 in the morning. So not drunk, just real tired.) What I knew before I joined the U.S. Army. General's statement: "I have been nothing but a shill for the United Fruit Company." "Panzer Battles" by COL. Mellenthin. (A Panzer platoon, at the end of the war, was able to defend against Allied companies, 1 to 4 odds against the Germans.) "Flight of the Intruder" starring William Dafoe. "Wild Weasel" missions over North Vietnam to locate surface-to-air missile (SAM) sites. "No Fly Zones" over northern and southern Iraq prior to 2003. Kuwait in the late 1990's and my friend's story of female service members "selling themselves" to male service members.

Good Riddance Saddam
First and foremost I made this as a Thank You to all those who sacrificed to eliminate Saddam Hussein and his regime from the planet. Secondly there are alot of younger people who really have no concept of just what a delusional psychopath Hussein was. I absolutely put him up there with Hitler. Not his military power but their personal psychologies. I do and always will believe that overthrowing Hussein was a noble and necessary task. I would also like to get some things straight about this mission: 1. Critics say we invaded a sovereign country. This is false. Hussein had forfeited Iraq's sovereignty when he invaded a neighbor. Sovereign countries do not have sanctions and no-fly zones. 2. People say Hussein got his WMD fron the US. In reality the vast majority of the chemical precusors Hussein manufactured into WMD came from elsewhere. The biggest suppliers were; Singapore (4,515 tons), the Netherlands (4,261 tons), Egypt (2,400 tons), India (2,343 tons), and Germany (1,027 tons). In fact if you add the Netherlands and Germany it means the biggest supplier was what we now call the EU. 3. To me saying Hussein was not a threat is like saying Charles Manson is not a threat. Of course he is not a threat when he is in prison. C Manson is not being kept in prison to punish him he is being kept in prison because he has PROVEN to be a delusional psychopath. Hussein was a delusional psychopath as well who needed to be captured and put in prison.
