Madžar, piano - mvt 1, part 1 Aleksandar Madžar (Bösendorfer piano) Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by André Previn first movement, part one part two of the first movement is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTtVHJEPjG8 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Piano Concerto In B-Flat Major, K.595 No.27 [31.37 total time] Recorded At The Imperial Palace of Schönbrunn, Vienna, Austria, 29 November 1990 Isobel Wield writes on Aleksandar Madžar: "The imagination that goes into his playing is reflected in his programming too -- this all suggested an artist whose horizons are far wider than those of many of his peers...quite remarkable." The Guardian Born in Belgrade in 1968, Aleksandar Madžar began his piano studies with Gordana Matinovic, later becoming a student of Arbo Valdma at the Belgrade Academy of Music. From 1987 to 1989 he studied with Eliso Virsaladze in Moscow, subsequently with Edouard Mirzoian at the Strasbourg Conservatory and in Brussels with Daniel Blumenthal. Today, he holds professorships at the Royal Flemish Conservatoire, Brussels and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Bern. In 2007/08 Madžar maintains his schedule of diverse performance activities: celebrating the 250th anniversary of Scarlatti, he focuses on this composer in a recital programme in Manchester's Royal Northern College of Music. He also returns to the Wigmore Hall in recital, and the BBC Philharmonic under the baton of Andris Nelsons, with whom he additionally performs with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie. Following a remarkable recital in Paris at the Théâtre de la Ville last season he is immediately invited back, in a two piano recital with Alexandar Melnikov. He will be guest soloist with the Belcea Quartet in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw. Other select partnerships are key to Aleksandar Madžar's current performance schedule. In summer 2007, he appeared as guest artist at the East Neuk Festival and at the Irish Chamber Orchestra's summer festival, run by close chamber music colleague Anthony Marwood. He collaborates with Ilya Gringolts and their delivery of a Beethoven cycle in St Petersburg in 2006 met with extraordinary praise. This ongoing partnership meets again at the 2008 Verbier Festival. Duo recitals with Juliana Banse are now culminating in an ECM recording for spring 2008. Of his prize in the 1996 Leeds Piano Competition Gerald Larner of The Times described Madžar as 'the most imaginative musician among the 1996 finalists'. The Leeds competition propelled Madžar onto the UK scene where he also became a sought after soloist with the Royal and BBC Philharmonics, BBC Scottish Symphony, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales, as well as throughout Europe and Asia working with Paavo Berglund, Ivan Fischer, Paavo Järvi, Carlos Kalmar, John Nelson, Libor Pesek, André Previn and the late Marcello Viotti. Aleksandar Madžar has given solo recitals in Berlin (Philharmonie), London, Rome, Florence, Milan, Hamburg, Duisburg and on tour in Japan and in Columbia. He is a regular guest artist at the festivals of Bad Kissingen, Schleswig Holstein, the Ivo Pogorelich Festival at Bad Wörishofen, Klavier Festival Ruhr, Davos, Roque d'Antheron, Salzburg, Sintra and Aldeburgh. His discography includes the two Chopin piano concertos, with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and Dmitri Kitaenko for BMG/Classic FM (1997), for the French label Arion (1999) a disc of Chabrier's music for two pianos and, working regularly with cellist Louise Hopkins, a disc of Elliot Carter, Rachmaninov and Schnittke for the Swedish label Intim Musik. |

I converted "The Imperial March" midi file to a WAV file with the "default" simulated instruments at this site: http://www.hamienet.com/midi2mp3 It sounds far better, however MidiJam wont be able to play the WAV file because it's no longer a midi file. For this video I recorded MidiJam with the original Imperial March midi sound and then using a video editor, I replaced the original sound with the converted sound WAV file. _______________________________________________ If you're wondering specifically how I captured this: Watch this video especially for the DivX information and settings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kiug3H3c4gk then: CamStudio settings: Region: Fixed Region, check Fixed Top-Left Corner, Left 5, Top 40, Width 640, Height 480 Options/Video Options: Compressor: DivX, Quality 60, Set Key Frames Every 30, Capture Frames Every 50, Playback Rate 20, Max Framerate. ![]() | founder of the Lung su Matoo fighting arts Oya Qhoze is the founder and director of Lung Su Matoo Fighting Arts Academy. For more than twenty years he has taught and trained in various forms of fighting arts and self- defense, specifically forms that are rooted in Afrikan tradition. While residing in Chicago, he introduced the Afrikan Fighting Arts in various locations to promote the awareness of a 10,000 year old culture. His profound legacy of this art has toppled many more common forms of self-defense. Although his previous demonstrations have been somewhat obscure he is prepared to show this completely proficient form in an astounding fashion. The dance-like movements are devastatingly deadly, yet fluid and effortless. This form is a paradox in it's own right. The teachings of Oya Qhoze are holistic and interdisciplinary. He seeks to expose the true history of Afrikan Self-Defense through the study of Afrikan dance movements, music, performance as well as through Afrikan Yoga. Through his methods, he explains how Asian Martial Arts are based on a system of movements and tech- niques that originated from the continent of Kush, also known as Southwest Asia (Afrika). Due to the conflicting interests of a Eurocentric based society, America's have not been taught the valuable skills that can be gained through the practice of Nubian art forms. Like many Afrikan-based disciplines, the topics of Afrikan Yoga nd Fighting Arts have been manipulated into obscurity by the winds of time and it's endless wars, colonial, and imperial aggressions, the exploitation of Afrikans during the slave trade, and cultural theft. Oya Qhoze continues to revive these Afrikan art forms in a way that offers an individual practitioner insight into the physical, cultural and spiritual aspects of traditional Nubian cultures. Oya Qhoze Mafuteis one of the last of a lineage of a secret sect of Ibo warriors whose secret traditions extend back over 10,000 years. Their skills, passed from father to son for hundreds of generations, were such a closely guarded secret that their lineage was thought to have been extinct for a hundreds of years. Oya Qhoze may be the only living master and the last in a lineage of a system of Afrikan fighting arts No martial artist in the world equals the skill and mastery of Oya Qhoze. He is a living treasure of powerful ancient wisdom and knowledge rarely found in the world today. More than 700 hundreds of years ago, when foreigners began invading the continent today known as African, in the aim of self-preservation, many cultural traditions went underground. This is no surprise. It is only now that many esoteric and powerful teachings of original cultures, heretofore unknown are now coming to the surface, In order to insure their survival amidst war, conquest, and genocide, esoteric traditions of these cultures were hidden and preserved at all cost. So, it was that age-old perfected forms of self-defense were passed in secret in Oya's bloodline from father to son, from generation to generation for hundreds of years. Today, the surface of these teachings survive as different forms of African dance, quite popular as a performing art around the world. However, what is even unknown to the practitioner is that these fluid dances hold the basis of a smooth and deadly fighting art that has survived covertly, its teachings estorically hidden in the guise of dance. Oya Qhoze, in his quest to assertain the effectiveness of his system of fighting arts overtook a complete in-depth multi-disciplinary study of many of the world's fighting arts. His expert knowledge of Kung-Fu, Tai-Chi, Karate, Jiu Jitsu and many other styles of fighting arts have only contributed to his vast knowledge of self-defense and movement art. Some of the traditional African styles that Oya teaches include Capirlow, Kaperellow. These are distinct forms of self defense that emphasize floor fighting in a gymnastic style using the hands and feet. With the knowledge of these arts, Oya may be the only one in existence that knows the true of origins of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian fighting sport very popular in the world today. In fact, no official definition or origin of Capoeria exists. Capoeira masters only know that it was brought by slaves from Angola to Brazil. Only Oya Qhoze holds the secret truth of the origin of this art. Another rare form of fighting art Oya Qhoze specializes in is called Ibo Wrestling. Ibo Wrestling is a highly secret defensive grappling art similar to judo and jiu jitsu which includes throws, locks, dislocations and breaks. It is a primal animalistic form of defense that was only taught to imperial guards of royal descent to protect the royal families of the Ibo nation. It is one of the most dangerous and least known about forms of fighting art in existence. |
