HONORARY CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP

'Honorary Canadian citizenship' is an honour bestowed by the Parliament of Canada to foreigners of exceptional merit. It is a symbolic honour and does not give the recipient any rights, privileges or duties typically held by a Canadian citizen.
The honour requires the unanimous approval of parliament. As of , three people have had this honour bestowed upon them.
