![]() | The Great Global Warming Swindle - Produced by WAGTV PRODUCED by WAGTV Available from NiceneCouncil.com "An absolutely phenomenal documentary." Glenn Beck, Syndicated talk show host Everything you've ever been told about Global Warming is probably untrue. From Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth to news reports from the popular media outlets and even public classrooms which, in chicken little fashion, are screaming - the sky is falling. But is it really? This documentary, which contraditcs these claims and has been described by some as the most explosive film of the year and the definitive answer to Al Gore features interviews from some of the Worlds leading scientists, climatologists and former environmentalist like: * Dr. John Christy, Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama * Dr. Philip Stott, Emeritus Professor of Biogeography, University of London * Dr. Paul Reiter, IPCC & Pasteur Instititue, Paris * Dr. Roy Spencer, Principle Research Scientist University of Alabama * Dr. Patrick Michaels, Department of Environmental Science, University of Virginia * Dr. Syun-lchi Akasofu, Director, International Arctic Research Center * Dr. Fredrick Singer, First Director, U.S. National Weather Satellite Service * Dr. Richard Lindzen, IPCC & Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) * Dr. Tim Ball, Former Professor of Climatology, University of Winnepeg * Dr. Niz Shaviv, Professor of Physics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem * Dr. Ian Clark, Professor Department of Earth Sciences, Univertisy of Ottawa * Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Green Peace * Dr. Paul Driessen, author of Eco-Imperalism: Green Power Black Death The Great Global Warming Swindle blows the whistle on what may be the biggest swindle in modern history. Proponets of man made global warming warn that climate change is the greatest threat ever to mankind, and, if we do not change our ways and reduce CO2 emissions - polar ice caps will melt, coastal areas will flood and hurricane like Katrina will become common. With nearly Gestapo like tactics we are commanded not to question the edicts of the ICCP (oops, sorry, the IPCC - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). There is absolutely no room for doubt because there is a "scientific consensus." Anyone who questions the data or conclusion is an enemy of the state and humanity. Well, this is exactly what this well documented film does! Our challenge - watch this film and make up your own mind. "The Great Global Warming Swindle should be seen by everyone interested in the global enviroment, especially those who have seen the Al Gore movie." Professor William M. Gray, meterologist |
![]() | Survivors In Paradise - http://terravideos.blogspot.com TERRA EPISODE 211: In 1826, the first mosquitoes arrived in Hawai'i aboard a whaling ship. Learn how they spread avian malaria to native birds, accelerating extinction in this already imperiled ecosystem, and join scientists as they learn how one species is bucking the extinction trend through evolution. History, island biogeography and genetics converge as the 'Amakihi, a native honeycreeper, mysteriously re-populates the lowlands of Hawai'i, providing hope for the future of other native birds in Hawai'i. |
![]() | Exploring the Genetic Diversity of Bird Species The interactive "bird map" plot includes 10,000 squares, and each of the world's approximately 10,000 species is assigned a square, using x and y coordinates of a grid. The species are arranged on the grid according to their taxonomic order, which reflects evolutionary history and puts closely-related birds near to each other, starting with the most ancient lineages. Genetic and other comparative data is overlaid on the grid as three-dimensional blocks, with height and color used to represent particular features, such as minimum genetic distances between species for example. The grid can be used to explore data on subsets of world birds, such as selected families (eg sandpipers, wrens) hummingbirds) or birds of a specific biogeographic region (eg Neotropical, Indomalayan). |
![]() | Are we a Plague on the Planet? Extinction Means Gone Forever!! Are we a plague on the planet? Extinction Means Gone Forever!! a video by angelstar22 All images and sounds are in the public domain. Extinctions caused by humans: Before humans came along species extinctions were an extremely rare event. By species I mean animals, insects, plants and so on. Now that humans arrived: North and South America lost three quarters of their big animals. Europe and Asia lost between a third and half of their big creatures. Australia lost 95 percent of large animals. In 1979 it was suggested that human activities were causing 2 extinctions a week. In the 1990s that number was raised to some six hundred per week. Now, according to Conservation International, every 20 minutes, another species is pushed to extinction. Let us PLEASE work to keep all the species that we now have. Again, by species I mean animals, insects, and plants and so on. In 1800 the population of our planet was 978 million; in 1950 the population was 2.5 billion, In October of 2008 we are at just over 6.7 billion people on the planet. Things to do: Have less children! Keep the human population down. Learn about the issues. Live Green. Get Involved. Learn to Care. Tell your friends!
