'Henry John Wale' was an
English author, soldier and church minister. He came from
Little Shelford near
Cambridge and was the son of General Sir
Charles Wale. He is notable for his command of the 1st Sikh Irregular Cavalry known as
Wale's Horse[1]. He also served in the
Crimea.
