HANOVER (REGION)

'Hanover' (German ''Hannover'') was a ''Regierungsbezirk'' of the Province of Hanover and of Lower Saxony, Germany, that existed from 1885 until 2004. It was located in the south of the state around the City of Hanover, its capital.
