Underwater World
This is the fourth installment in my Guam Movie. Here we explore Underwater World...a huge aquarium with a long observation tunnel and some of the biggest fish I've ever seen. The first half is dedicated to the tunnel portion and the second half is shots from the smaller tanks above "sea level." Music by Camille Saint-Saëns, Yann Tiersen and John Williams.
Grand Canyon (Part 6)
It takes 3 to 4 hours to get from the South Rim to the North Rim and once you are there it is over 8000 feet in elevation. The climate was maybe 10 degrees cooler than the southern part and the view of the canyon is completely different. Although we weren't huge fans of our new campground it was conveniently located very close to bathrooms, showers, and the general store. It was here that I purchased my new hat which you will probably see in future videos. In the later half of this portion you can see us as we visit the Grand Canyon Lodge where we ate lunch in their dining hall.
Crypt - Rct3
The Ride Is Also Known as Tomb Raider The Ride Tomb Raider: the Ride opened at Paramount's Kings Island in Kings Mill, Ohio in April, 2002 as a unique combination between spinning ride and dark ride - the newest hybrid-type attraction to land in the theme park world. Themed to Paramount's movie Tomb Raider of the previous year, the Ride takes adventurers through the chambers of an ancient temple before boarding a 70-foot tall spinning Giant Top Spin from Manufacturer Huss Rides and experiencing the heels-over-head action of the thrill ride half of Tomb Raider. In late 2001, Paramount's Kings Island's Kenton's Cove Kellboat Canal, one of two log flumes, was closed and kicked off the Island, and TR:tR began to take KCKC's spot as the framework for the attraction's 80-foot tall building rose up. Tomb Raider comes as PKI's third enclosed themed ride, following the Phantom Theatre dark ride (now Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle) and 1996's Flight of Fear LIM-driven spaghetti-bowl steel coaster. Before boarding, King Island guests travel through a queue line that provides half of the Tom Raider experience, passing by heavy theming including actual props from the film during the twenty-minute-long experience. Visitors to Paramount's Kings Island venture to the back of the park into the far reaches of the midways and into the wooden area also home to the legendary Beast before catching sight of the entrance to Tomb Raider. Entering into the queue line, future riders are taken into the building through a cave-like entrance and into the first of three themed pre-ride chambers. Guests move past debris of failed past expeditions and archaeological equipment in the first room, and then move onto the Antechamber. Traveling towards the heart of the temple, the line winds past stone monkeys, ancient idols and mysterious symbols lining the walls. In the next chamber, guests learn the story behind the experience before entering the final portion of the building containing the ride portion of Tomb Raider. Upon entering the ride enclosure, passengers load onto the 3-row, 77-passenger rider vehicle, securing shoulder restraints as they board. The spinning and flipping action begins as riders are carried towards a ceiling of ice stalactites jutting down precariously towards the vehicle, then inverted over a floor of lava. Tomb riders are whipped around and around, climbing 70 feet and spiraling back down for the next two minutes but finally, Tomb Raider: the Ride comes to an end and riders exit out of the building. Su'ud As-Shuraim Al-Muzzammil (The One wrapped in Garments)
1. 'O the enwrapped one! 2. Stand praying at night except a small portion thereof. 3. Half night or make it a little less than that. 4. Or make it a little more than that and recite Quran slowly and thoughtfully. 5. Undoubtedly, soon We shall be casting on you a weighty word. 6. Undoubtedly, getting up at night is most pressing and the word is pronounced most rightly. 7. Undoubtedly, you have a chain of engagements during the day. 8. Therefore remember the name of your Lord, and be of Him exclusively leaving all others. 9. He is the Lord of the east and west, there is no god but He, so take Him as Disposer of Affairs. 10. And be patient over what the infidels say and leave them decently. 11. And leave to Me those beliers the rich ones and give them a little time. 12. Undoubtedly, We have heavy fetters and raging fire. 13. And a choking food and a painful torment. 14. On a day when the earth and the mountains shall quake, and the mountains will become heaps of sand flowing. 15. Undoubtedly, We sent towards you a Messenger who is a witness over you, as We sent to Firawn a Messenger. 16. But Firawn dis-obeyed the Messenger, then We seized him with a severe seizing. 17. Then how you will save yourselves if you disbelieve against a day which will make children old. 18. The sky will be split on account of its grief. The promise of Allah shall be fulfilled. 19. Undoubtedly, this is an admonition, therefore, let him who please take a way unto his Lord. 20. Undoubtedly, your Lord knows that you stand up for prayer sometime for nearby two third of the night, sometime half of the night, sometime a third of the night, and also a party of those who are with you. And Allah estimates the night and the day. He knows that you muslims can not count the night, then He turned towards you with His mercy, now recite from Quran as much as is easy for you He knows that soon some of you will fell ill and some others will travel in the earth seeking the bounty of Allah and some others will be fighting in the way of Allah, so recite Quran what you can, and continue keeping prayer and pay, the poor-due (Zakat) and give a goodly loan to Allah. And whatever good you will send forward for you, you will find it with Allah as better and greater reward. And beg forgiveness from Allah. Undoubtedly, Allah is Forgiving Merciful.
Surah Al Muzzammil by Hafiz Qari Muhammad Saeed Hashmi (Sudais Style)

Silver Surfer Origins set to Rush
Video Project #5 - I set out to condense Episode 1 of the cartoon series Silver Surfer (c 1998) "Origin of the Silver Surfer" and sync it up with some music by RUSH. I managed to cut out over half of the episode, saving only the basic common plot line of how the Silver Surfer came into being. The song by Rush is "The Necromancer" which i had to remix in several places. Plot: Originally a young astronomer of the planet Zenn-La, in order to save his home-world from destruction by a fearsome cosmic entity known as Galactus, Norrin Radd made a bargain with the being, pledging himself to serve as his herald. Imbued in return with a tiny portion of Galactus' "Power Cosmic", Radd acquired great powers and a silvery appearance. Galactus also created for Radd a surfboard-like craft — modeled after a childhood fantasy of his — on which he would travel at speeds beyond that of light. Known from then on as the Silver Surfer, Radd began to roam the cosmos searching for new planets for Galactus to consume.

The "Wild" Burros of Oatman, Arizona
I'm back from another wonderful 3,300 mile, three and a half week motorcycle journey around the Southwest, so here's the first video from the trip; I hope you like it :) To me, Oatman, Arizona is the most distinctive surviving "old west" town in the Southwest, so I always enjoy motorcycling through it whenever I'm in that part of the country. Oatman is on the famous old Route 66, known as "The Mother Road", and when the "modern highway" (to ME, "modern highway" translates directly as: "BORRRING!!!" LOL) Interstate 40 was completed, negating the need to travel 63 miles on the narrow winding Route 66 via Oatman, one would THINK that Oatman would have gone the way of many similar small towns along Route 66, and would quietly have died away. The unique character of Oatman, however, has allowed it to continue to be a town frequented by other bikers, RVers, and those wanting to relive the old days via old Route 66. Often times you can still see old Model T Fords, and other vintage cars traveling slowly through town. About 30 minutes after I arrived in Oatman, a bunch of other bikers rumbled into town on their big V-twins, and it turned out they were travelers mainly from England, with some of the bikers also from Sweden and Greece, so they were all part of a tour that was biking the entire length of Route 66, from Chicago to Los Angeles. The mountainous portion of Route 66, with its tight turns and steep dropoffs, from Kingman, Arizona to Oatman was considered so intimidating to "flat landers" during the 1930s and 40s, that many of them would hire locals to drive their cars through that area, rather than attempt it themselves. (As you can imagine, most adrenaline junkie motorcyclists like me LOVE the challenge of that stretch of narrow, mountainous road LOL) One of the fun highlights of Oatman are the wild burros that roam around the town. These burros are the direct descendants of the burros that were used by Gold Miners as pack animals during the Gold Rush days. When the mines dried up, the miners released the burros to roam the arid Southwest. Here's a website that talks about the burros of Oatman: http://www.oatmangoldroad.com/burros.htm and here's a website describing the quirky nature of this interesting town: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/13961 The song for the video is "Run Mustang Run" by Lacy J. Dalton. The song is obviously NOT about burros, but is about the wild mustangs which also inhabit the Southwest along with the burros, but I like the sentiments in the song and how it goes with the video clips, and, at the end of the day, they're all "equine" :) Here's one final website link that talks about both the mustangs and the burros: http://www.gatewaytosedona.com/article/id/518/page/1
