42ND GRAMMY AWARDS

(Redirected from Grammy Awards of 2000)

The 42nd Grammy Awards were held on February 23, 2000. They recognized accomplishments by musicians from the previous year. During the show, Carlos Santana won an amazing 8 Grammys, tying Michael Jackson's record for most grammy awards won in a single night. Christina Aguilera won Best New Artist surprising many by beating out former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Britney Spears. This win helped lead to an alleged rivalry and feud between the two.
