'Getreidegasse' is a busy shopping street in the Old Town section of Salzburg. The house at no. 9 Getreidegasse is where the famed Wolfgang Mozart was born and lived until he was 17. Originalled called Trabegasse (derived fronm Traben - to trot) its name was changed several times to create the odd Cereal Street (that's what Getreidegasse means).
It is a law in Salzburg to designate shops by hanging iron signs over the store.
