'Gary Winick' (born c.
1961) is a
film director and
producer who has directed films such as ''
Tadpole'' (
2002) and ''
13 Going on 30'' (
2004). He has also produced films including ''
Pieces of April'' (
2003) for which
Patricia Clarkson was nominated for the
Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and ''
November'' (2004) through his
New York City-based
independent film production company
InDigEnt (founded in
1999; stands for Independent Digital Entertainment).

Winick directed the highly anticipated live action film
Charlotte's Web starring such actors (or the voices of such actors) as
Julia Roberts,
Dakota Fanning,
Steve Buscemi,
Kathy Bates,
Robert Redford and
John Cleese. It is scheduled for release on
December 15,
2006.

Winick is a 1984 graduate of
Tufts University.

Master of Fine Arts degree from both the
University of Texas at Austin and the
American Film Institute (AFI).

Winick went to Manhattan private school
Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School - class of 1979.
[5] During the 1970's, he attended Camp Alamar and
Camp Ma-Ho-Ge, where he was known for his athletic abilities in softball and basketball -- as well as a fine sense of humor.
