'GJ 1061' (
Gliese-Jahreiss 1061) is a small
red dwarf star approximately 12.08
light-years from
Earth's
Solar System. Even though it is a relatively nearby star, the closest star in Horologium, it is far too faint to be seen with the naked eye. It has an estimated mass of about 11.3% of the sun and is only 0.1% as
luminous.
