'Fussa' (福生市; -shi) is a
city located in
Tokyo,
Japan.
As of
2003, the city has an estimated
population of 61,337 and the
density of 5,989.94 persons per
km². The total area is 10.24 km².
The city was founded on
July 1,
1970.
Yokota Air Base is located in
Fussa. The eastern portion of the city's economy focuses mainly on servicing those who live there. Western Fussa-shi lies on the banks of the
Tama River, which flows along the southern end of
Tokyo and through
Kawasaki before emptying into
Tokyo Bay.
