FUJI, SHIZUOKA

is a city located in Shizuoka, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 236,706 and the density of 1,105.64 persons per km². The total area is 214.09 km².
The city was founded on November 1, 1966.
Fuji is an industrial center in eastern Shizuoka prefecture. It is home to numerous paper factories with a total of 365 chimneys. Fuji is served by the TÅkaidÅ Shinkansen at Shin-Fuji station.
