Francesca Hunt

'Francesca Hunt' is a British actress. She has starred in two television drama series for the BBC, ''Roughnecks'' and ''Strathblair'', as well as the sitcom ''A Prince Among Men'' and several one-off dramas including ''Over Here''. In between TV appearances, she has also managed to play some of Britain's most prestigious theatres. She appeared as Phyllis in ''Double Indemnity'' at Theatre Clwyd, and starred in Stephen King's ''Misery'' at the Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke. She starred in ''The Handyman'' at the Chichester Festival Theater and has also been seen in ''Anna Karenina'', ''Lady Chatterley's Lover'' and ''Duet for One'', among others. Her sole American TV Series has been ''The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne''. She played Mrs Salt in the Tim Burton film of ''Charlie and the Chocolate Factory''.
Hunt studied philosophy and politics at Oxford University, attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and spent time at the Moscow Arts Theatre School. She is a dancer and competitive swimmer. She is the sister of actress India Fisher, and appears with her in the ''Doctor Who'' audio play ''Other Lives''. Musician Crispin Hunt is her brother.
