Venom From Spiderman Trying To Lead A Normal Life EPISODE II
Everyone's favourite anti-hero returns for more mishaps in this sequel to the critically acclaimed (read: no one downloaded it and put it up themselves) 'Venom From Spiderman Trying To Lead A Normal Life'! This episode sees Venom deal with sleeping in on a work day, play some sports and try to help people (inevitably killing them accidentally). A few mishaps aside, this is another dose of comedy gold (I never thought the original would be as popular as it is), even if it might be standing in its predecessors' shadow. It's not as long as the first Episode (unless you don't count Spiderman's bits, which were, let's be honest, crap) but it's quality over quantity. It does have a flaw -- in scene 5 ('baseball') you can hear my voice twice. I forgot to mute the video clip, that's all. In some parts, I've done a freeze-frame to fit the dialogue in, so don't worry, it's not a glitch in the video. Does this have any improvements over the original? Well, the video quality is much better...and...er...I have a better microphone...does that count? Coming up -- the raw filmed files in a behind-the-scenes / outtakes video, and maybe a commentary on both episodes by their creators! Credit goes to yo123454321 for giving me his SOCOM headset, which I use as a microphone. And I apologise for taking so long to upload this.

A Healthy Nervous System: A Delicate Balance
Mutations in critical genes can slowly destroy the nervous system, rendering patients unable to talk, swallow or breathe. Dr. Huda A. Zoghbi with Baylor College of Medicine discovered the culprit in a disorder known as spinocerebellar ataxia type 1. She found a genetic stutter that increases the size of a particular gene, disrupting neurons controlling movement. Researching compounds to address this genetic flaw could lead to treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
The Secret Retrofit of the Citibank Tower in 1978
A useful counterpoint to the 9/11 Truth denier's oft-repeated claim that the World Trade Center's owners could not have installed explosives without being detected: The video from Discovery's "Science Channel" summarizes the story of the Citicorp Center, which underwent major structural retrofits barely a year after its completion, when the architect, William LeMessurier, realized that a design flaw could lead to the building's collapse in a strong wind. The truth only became known to the public nearly twenty years later, in a 1995 article that appeared in New Yorker magazine entitled "The Fifty-Nine-Story Crisis"... "The weakest joint, he discovered, was at the building's thirtieth floor; if that one gave way, catastrophic failure of the whole structure would follow. Next, he took New York City weather records provided by Alan Davenport and calculated the probability of a storm severe enough to tear that joint apart. His figures told him that such an event had a statistical probability of occurring as often as once every sixteen years--what meteorologists call a sixteen-year storm. "That was very low, awesomely low," LeMessurier said, his voice hushed as if the horror of discovery were still fresh. ... On Tuesday morning, August 8th, the public-affairs department of Citibank, Citicorp's chief subsidiary, put out the long delayed press release. In language as bland as a loan officer's wardrobe, the three-paragraph document said unnamed "engineers who designed the building" had recommended that "certain of the connections in Citicorp Center's wind bracing system be strengthened through additional welding.'' The engineers, the press release added, "have assured us that there is no danger." WELDERS started work almost immediately, their torches a dazzlement in the night sky." Ask yourself, how many people know this story - even today - ten years after a magazine article was published about it? It is obvious that the installation of cutter charges in the WTC Towers could easily have been accomplished with no public awareness of what was being planned - especially in view of eyewitness accounts of mysterious power outages and construction noise in the towers in the days and weeks before 9/11.

The Sinking of Car Ferries
Most car ferries are built with a design flaw, in that if the car deck becomes suddenly flooded with water, the vessel can capsize within a few minutes; this was the case of the Herald of Free Enterprise. This design flaw may inhibit an orderly evacuation of the stricken vessel and could lead to a serious loss of life. The video shows a simple design modification, which may help to overcome this design flaw. The video was made in 1995.

Porsche Cayman S and GT2 @ Eagle's Canyon
I ask Marilynn to get in front to film her line and the huge smoke plum from her CaymanS. Also Doug in the GT2 tries the lead, but discovers that the track is too slick to hang in the front. The Cayman and the 997 and 996 all share the same engine and also share a design flaw. The oil separator is just too small to handle the amount of oil that gets sucked out by the required PCV smoke control system. This only happens on the track in high rev corners. The fix is drive the car into the corner in a higher gear or install the Porsche Motorsport oil separator. In car video from Porsche CaymanS track car at Eagle's Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Tx. Yellow Run group of the Porsche Club HPDE. There are only 5 legal passing zones during this event. Lead drive is required to wave the faster car by before passing can occur. Details about this Porsche Cayman S and a lot more in car track videos can be found by clicking on my user name.

- The Corporation - Prognosis - 14of14 -
The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power The focus of why corporations try to not break laws and try to help others and the environment is examined. After various interviews from Anderson, Chomsky, and others a conclusion is drawn that corporations do these things in order to survive and make more money. Consumers will not buy a product if they feel strongly enough that it is harmful, so corporations manufacture a positive public image through various charities. Naomi Klein then states the biggest flaw in a corporation is the fact that they will do anything for money. Jim Lafferty then discusses the Unocal controversy and how he and many others fought to dismantle the corporation and return it to the public trust. A counterpoint is then made that socialist ideals like that can lead to unfavorable situations like Communist Russia. Moore returns to describe how personal accountability is important. An example given by him is that the main job for the parents of Columbine High School was Lockheed Martin, a company that manufactures weapons. The movie then shows Ray Anderson giving a speech pleading his fellow tycoons to develop sustainable industries so the planet does not get destroyed. This speech is met with guilty looks by other attendees as Anderson proclaims them (and him) to be "plunderers of the earth." The interviewers then all state there is a way to fight the large corporations by working together. Michael Moore ends the film by pointing out the major flaw of a capital oriented entity: "The rich man will sell you the rope you'll use to hang him."
