Elsag Datamat forms part of the "Defence Electronics" division of Finmeccanica, a leading industrial group at global level.
Energy


★ 'Ansaldo Energia'
The company has more than a hundred years of power generation experience and an installed capacity exceeding 153,000 MW in over 75 countries. Revenues in 2003 stood at 802 million euros.

★ 'Ansaldo Fuel Cells'
In June 2004 Ansaldo Fuel Cells inaugurated the Terni industrial fuel cell production facility for stationary applications. The production capacity, initially 3 MW, should have reached 15 MW by 2006.

50-50 joint ventures between DCNS of France and Finmeccanica/Fincantieri of Italy for the design and construction of 27 FREMM multirole frigates and 4 Horizon anti-air frigates. FREMM/Horizon, at a cost of 4.3 billion euros, is Europe's largest naval program

★ 'Eurotorp'
50-50 joint venture between Finmeccanica and DCN/Thales of France. Eurotorp is the world market leader for lightweight torpedoes, and the European leading company in antisubmarine weapon systems.

★ 'NHIndustries'
Italy has a 32% stake in the program, France 31.25%, Germany 31.25%, and The Netherlands 5.5%

★ 'Eurofighter GmbH' (21%)
Joint venture with EADS and BAE Systems for co-ordination of the design, production and upgrade of Eurofighter Typhoon.

Fhink Master

The Fhink Master is an initiative developed by Finmeccanica in order to integrate and enrich the Group’s Training and Knowledge Management System. It was submitted to the Finmeccanica Board of Directors, which approved the course at its meeting on May 11 2006, and initiated its first edition on November 15 2006. It has been designed to forge a link between academic institutions and industry, with the involvement of prestigious partner universities from around the world [1].
Fhink Master aims to develop students from high-potential graduates into world class professionals working in an international business engineering environment, in the areas of:

★ Marketing & Sales

★ Business Development

★ Strategic Management

★ Business Improvement

★ Risk Management

★ Financial Control
The Master's Programme combines intensive learning with an internship in one of the Finmeccanica Group operating companies, totalling approx. 1500 hours of full-time learning and development activities. Following the successful completion of the programme, graduates will be offered a job opportunity within a Finmeccanica group company. Furthermore, Finmeccanica also offers financial support, for all participants, to cover tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses.
The Master's Programme is taught in English and held in Rome (Italy).
