ETON GROUP

The 'Eton Group' consists of twelve British independent schools:

Eton College

Bryanston School, Blandford

Dulwich College

Highgate School

King's College School, Wimbledon

The King's School, Canterbury

Marlborough College, Wiltshire

St Paul's School

Sherborne School

Tonbridge School

University College School, Hampstead

Westminster School
Heads of the academic departments meet annually in rotation to discuss curriculum matters of common interest. In 2005, the Office of Fair Trading concluded after a two year investigation that the Eton Group had operated as a fee-fixing cartel in breach of competition law. The bursar of Eton College, Andrew Wynn, was quoted as saying: “We do meet and talk about fees to get some idea of what other schools are thinking. We are a co-operative bunch and we are not out to slit each other’s throats.”
The Eton group has links to the Rugby Group and the Haileybury Group of Independent Schools.
