ELASTICO

The 'Elástico', 'Cucharita/Cuchara' (Most of South America), 'Vírgula' (Comma in Portuguese), "'Snake-fake'". 'Flip Flap' or 'Akka' (after a much watched advert when he performed it), is a football skill popularized and perhaps invented in the 1970s by legendary Brazil midfielder Rivelino. It was later established as a trademark move of Peruvian striker Julio César Uribe.
The skill consists of flicking the ball up with the outside of the foot, then quickly cushioning it with the instep of the same foot, wrong-footing the defender who reacts to the initial contact.
In recent times, the skill has been performed by the following players:

Cristiano Ronaldo of Man Utd and Portugal

Fernando Torres of Liverpool and Spain[1]

Ricardo Quaresma of Porto and Portugal

Robinho of Real Madrid and Brazil

Ronaldinho of Barcelona and Brazil

Ronaldo of A.C. Milan and Brazil

Royston Drenthe of Real Madrid and Netherlands U-21

Wayne Rooney of Man Utd and England

Zlatan Ibrahimović of Internazionale and Sweden
