'Sant Eknath' (1533-1599) was a saint from Maharashtra, India during the ''Bhakthi'' period. He is associated with putting together a new or pure version of Dnyaneshwari
, oiginally written by Saint Dnyaneshwar in the 13th century. He also popularized a new form of Marathi religious songs called Bharud.
