'Drypteis' (d. 323 BCE), princess of the Achaemenid dynasty in Persia. Daughter of Darius III of Persia, and by her sister Stateira, sister-in-law to Alexander the Great. Granddaughter of Sisygambis. Given in marriage to Hephaestion Amyntoros at the Susa weddings.
Although not mentioned by name, she was most likely captured by Alexander at the Battle of Issus in 333 BCE along with the rest of the Persian royal family.
She was widowed in 324 BCE. Following the death of Alexander in 323 BCE, Drypteis and her sister Stateira - Alexander's widow - were murdered by Alexander's other widow, Roxana (Pl. Alex. 77.4).
