The 'drechtsteden' are a number of towns in the delta area of Netherlands. They all end in the suffix of "-drecht" (from Latin ''trajectum'' meaning "ford"): Zwijndrecht, Dordrecht, Papendrecht, Barendrecht, and Sliedrecht.
