'Dragon Cone' is a
dormant cinder cone located in
Wells Gray-Clearwater Volcanic Field,
British Columbia. It is the source of a 15 km long "Dragon's Tongue"
lava flow that
dams
Clearwater Lake. Dragon Cone is
radiocarbon dated at about 7600 years ago. Flows from nearby
Flourmill Cone,
Kostal Cone and
Spanish Lake Cones rest on glaciated bedrock without an intervening paleosol, suggesting an early
Holocene age.
