'Dr. William H. Thomas' is an international authority on geriatric medicine and eldercare and a professor of aging studies at the Erickson School at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Thomas also serves as president of The Center for Growing and Becoming, Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing constructive, holistic approaches to aging and the care of our elders. He is the founder of The Eden Alternative, a global non-profit organization that is committed to improving the care received by people who live in institutions everywhere.
[1] Most recently, Dr. Thomas developed the Green House, a radically new approach to long-term care. In 2005, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation announced a five year ten million dollar grant that will result in the creation of Green House projects in all fifty states.
