'Doulting' is a village and
civil parish 1½ mile E. of
Shepton Mallet, in the
Mendip district of
Somerset,
England.
There are some extensive quarries of freestone, from which
Wells Cathedral was built. There is a spring called
St. Aldelm's Well, which is the source of the
River Sheppy.
The parish church is dedicated to
St. Aldhelm and dates from the
12th century. It is a grade I
listed building.
