The International Snowboard championship in Dizin which 19 countries partcipated in.
The huge 'Dizin' ski resort was established in 1979 by the Islamic Ministry of Tourism straight after the Iranian revolution and has a reputation for excellent snow, because of its altitude and the north facing slopes. And because of the altitude, the ski season in Dizin also lasts longer than European ski resorts [1].
The highest ski lift reaches , making it one of the 40 highest ski resorts in the world.
Dizin ski amenities include two hotels, 19 cottages and 5 restaurants, Nice hotels,cheap and beautiful villas and private apartments around the Dizin ski resort accommodate thousands of people every year. With only two hours of driving away from Tehran many people prefer not to stay overnight.
