'Department of Environmental Protection' (DEP) is a name used by several
states in the
United States of America for the agency charged with proposing and enforcing
environmental law. The equivalent
federal agency is called the
Environmental Protection Agency.
The former Department of Environmental Protection in Western Australia is now part of the
Department of Environment and Conservation.
