'Department of Education' ('DENI') (Irish: ''An Roinn Oideachais'', Ulster Scots: ''Männystrie o Lear'') is a Government Department in the Northern Ireland Executive. The Department is responsible for all aspects of education and other related services - except that of higher and further education sector, which is the responsibility of the Department for Employment and Learning. The last direct-rule minister responsible for the department was Maria Eagle MP.
