In the 1403 it becomes a greate dispute at the University of Prage about Wycliffe's doctrines. Jan Hus wanted to teach this new doctrine, but the majority of the German master and professors refuse the new thinking. In this situation Jerome of Prague went to the King. He promised the change of the constitution of the university.

On 18 January 1409 the three foreign nations (Poland, Bavaria and Saxony) at the opposed the request of Holy Roman Emperor Wenceslaus to take a neutral attitude between the two rival popes in the Great Schism. Wenceslaus changed the statutes of the university. With this Decree he gave the Czech nation three votes and one vote to the other three nations. Shortly after that, Jan Hus himself became rector of the university.
Result

As an other result of the Decree of Kutna Hora somewhere between five thousand and twenty thousand German doctors, masters, and students left the university. This exodus resulted in the foundation of the University of Leipzig, among others.and founded the University of Leipzig. The rising influence of this doctrine and the execution of Hus was the beginning of the Hussite Wars.
