DAVID HODGSON (JUDGE)

'David Hodgson' is a Judge of Appeal of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the highest civil court in the State of New South Wales, Australia, which forms part of the Australian court hierarchy.
Justice Hodgson was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court in 1983. He was Chief Judge in Equity from 1997-2001. Justice Hodgson was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2001. He has also served as a Commissioner of the New South Wales Law Reform Commission part-time from January 1994.[1]
Justice Hodgson also writes in the field of philosophy, in particular on the topic of free will. He is the author of two books published by Oxford University Press, ''Consequences of Utilitarianism'' (1967) and ''The Mind Matters'' (1991).
