Pablo, who went to Sweden in 2003 to form Tanganyika Band, says numbers in the album have been composed in Kiswahili and western beats. ``I have decided to mix the western and Africa beats to satisfying my fans who are in Tanzania and those abroad,`` explained Pablo. ``Since I left in 1999 for Botswana, local fans have not heard of my music. I have brought my album here to show them that I am still in the profession,`` he added. He said he has already taken the album to various local radio stations and people would soon start listening to his compositions. Pablo started his music carrier as a street dancer before joining MK Group in 1991 and later tied up with Ellyston Angai to record \"The Last Mission\" album in 1992. ![]() | ThinkTank ft Anika & Fid Q live at ZIFF 2007 ThinkTank is a Dutch jazz formation. Music Mayday invited them for a short tour in Tanzania. They collaborated with soul singer Anika and hiphop artist Fid Q, both well known Tanzanian musicians. After some gigs in Dar Es Salaam they came over to Zanzibar to perform at the annual Zanzibar International Film Festival. I interviewed ThinkTank drummer David Berger together with Anika and Fid Q in the historic amphitheatre in Stone Town's old fort and filmed their explosive shows in the Mambo Club. This film is made by Bram Vergeer from the Holland based InSideOut Foundation. It, together with many more films, can be seen on our website www.insideseries.com. Our aim is to present a different view on the daily life of people in countries all over the world, especially in countries which in our opinion are being portrayed in a limited way by the common media. We do this by making documentary films, developing a series of short films mend for the internet (the Inside Series) and stimulating filmmakers across the world. We depend on donor funding and sponsorship. For information please visit our website or contact us through bram@stichtinginsideout.nl |

His hobbies then were to water the garden and eat mushroom soup. At the age of four, he moved to Karachi, Pakistan. His interests diversified and he discovered the Commodore 64. At the age of 7 he pulled out the manual and wrote his first piece of software - a small red bouncing ball (similar to the game bricks - but without the bricks, and a point). Later, he moved to Montreal, Canada to pay for a stamp on a big piece of card paper that would ensure him a livelihood. Instead, he discovered embedded systems, human computer interaction and the study of software engineering practices. He now lives on a small island called Singapore and specializes in software quality automation and setup engineering. He believes that the Pick of Destiny is real and has named his first test machine Deepthought; in the hope that he will one day find yet another meaning of life (translated to: "he likes playing the guitar" and "he likes writings by Douglas Adams"). He admits to being long winded. |
