"What Western intelligence authorities know about THE PROJECT begins with the raid of a luxurious villa in Campione, Switzerland on November 7, 2001. The target of the raid was Youssef Nada, director of the Al-Taqwa Bank of Lugano, who has had active association with the Muslim Brotherhood for more than 50 years and who admitted to being one of the organization's international leaders. The ARAB Muslim Brotherhood, regarded as the oldest and one of the most important Islamist movements in the world, was founded by Hasan al-Banna in 1928 and dedicated to the credo, "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. The raid was conducted by Swiss law enforcement at the request of the White House in the initial crackdown on terrorist finances in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. U.S. and Swiss investigators had been looking at Al-Taqwa's involvement in money laundering and funding a wide range of Islamic terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda, HAMAS (the Palestinian affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood), the Algerian GIA, and the Tunisian Ennahdah. Included in the documents seized during the raid of Nada's Swiss villa was a 14-page plan written in Arabic dated December 1, 1982, which outlines a 12-point strategy to "establish an Islamic government on earth" -- identified as The Project. According to testimony given to Swiss authorities by Nada, the unsigned document was prepared by "Islamic researchers" associated with the ARAB Muslim Brotherhood. What makes THE PROJECT so different from the standard "Death of America! Death to Israel!" and "Establish the global caliphate!" islamist rhetoric is that it represents a flexible, multi-phased, long-term approach to the "cultural invasion" of the West. Calling for the utilization of various tactics, ranging from immigration, infiltration, surveillance, propaganda, protest, deception, political legitimacy and terrorism, THE PROJECT has served for more than two decades as the ARAB Muslim Brotherhood's "Master Plan". As can be seen in a number of examples throughout Europe -- including the political recognition of parallel Islamist government organizations in Sweden, the recent "cartoon" jihad in Denmark, the Parisian car-burning intifada last November, and the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London -- the plan outlined in "The Project" has been overwhelmingly successful. THE ARAB MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD [M.B.](officially known as Jamiat al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun, ARAB Society of Muslim Brothers) is a religious and political terrorist organization founded in 1928 in Egypt by Hasan al-Banna. Early opposed to secular tendencies in Islamic nations, the organization has sought to foster a return to the original precepts of the Qur'an. It grew rapidly, establishing an educational, economic, military, and political infrastructure. Threatened by its power, Egypt's government twice banned the M.B. organization (1948, 1954). It has since existed largely as a militant group, marked by rejection of Western influences. The M.B. remains strong in Egypt, Syria, Sudan, and other Arab countries and has resorted to acts of political violence. Members of the M.B. have been elected to Egypt's parliament as independents. The M.B. has influenced and supported a number of militant and violent organizations, such as "Hamas," Gama'a al-Islamiya, and Islamic Jihad. *The M.B. assassinated the Prime Minister of Egypt, Mahmud Fahmi Nokrashi, on December 28, 1948. Anwar -as-Sadat, promised the M.B. that Shari'a would be implemented as the Egyptian law and released all of the Brotherhood prisoners; however, the M.B. lost their trust in Sadat when he signed the peace agreement with Israel in 1979; The ARAB Muslim Brotherhood assassinated Anwar Sadat in September 1981. Today, a very complex financial network connects the operations of over seventy branches of the ARAB Muslim Brothers...worldwide. Since all 27 Member States are required to ratify, the Constitution was dead, but this took a long time to sink in. RICHARD HARRIS, Richard St. John Harris (October 1st 1930 - October 25th 2002) was a two-time Academy Award-nominated and Grammy Award-winning Irish actor, singer-songwriter, theatrical producer, film director and writer. He appeared on stage and in many films, and is perhaps best known for his roles as King Arthur in Camelot (1967), as Oliver Cromwell in Cromwell (1970) and for his portrayal of Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), his last film. He also played a British aristocrat and prisoner in A Man Called Horse (1970), and a gunfighter in the Clint Eastwood directed western Unforgiven (1992). Harris, the fifth of eight children, was born in Limerick City, Ireland, the son of Ivan John (b. 1896, son of Richard Harris b.1854, son of James Harris, St. Michael's, Limerick) and Mildred Josephine (née Harty) (b. 1898, Daughter of James Harty, St. John's, Limerick) Harris, who owned a flour mill. He was schooled by the Jesuits at Crescent College. The show was a critical success, but a financial failure, and Harris lost all his savings on the venture. As a result, he ended up temporarily homeless, sleeping in a coal cellar for six weeks. After completing his studies at the Academy, Harris joined Joan Littlewood's Theatre Workshop. He began getting roles in West End theatre productions, starting with The Quare Fellow in 1956, a transfer from the Theatre Workshop. In 1957, he married Elizabeth Rees-Williams, daughter of David Rees-Williams. Their three children are actor Jared Harris, actor Jamie Harris (born as Tudor St. John Harris, but known as Jamie since childhood), and director Damian Harris (who has a son named Marlowe, born 2002, with Australian actress Peta Wilson). Harris and Rees-Willams were divorced in 1969, and Elizabeth married another actor, Rex Harrison. Harris' second marriage was to American actress Ann Turkel, who was 16 years his junior; that marriage also ended in divorce. He was a member of the Knights of Malta, despite his divorces, and was also knighted by Denmark in 1985. He was reportedly good friends with Peter O'Toole. Harris often told stories about his haunted English Mansion, The Tower House, which was sold later to Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame. According to Harris, the tower was haunted by an eight-year-old boy who had been buried in the tower. The boy often kept Harris awake at night until he one day built a nursery for the boy to play in, which calmed the disturbances to some extent. Harris died of Hodgkin's disease on October 25th 2002, aged 72, two and a half weeks before the U.S. premiere of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The late Cassandra Harris was his sister-in-law; her two children with Dermot Harris were later adopted by 007 actor Pierce Brosnan. Richard was cremated and his ashes were scattered in The Bahamas. Richard Harris was a Knight of Malta and could be styled as Sir Richard Harris. On September 30th 2006, Manuel Di Lucia, of Kilkee, County Clare, a long-time friend, organized a bronze lifesize statue of Richard Harris at the age of eighteen playing rackets. The sculpture was unveiled in Kilkee. The sculptor was Seamus Connolly. Another life size statue of Richard Harris, as King Arthur from his film, Camelot, has been erected in Bedford Row, in the centre of his home city of Limerick. The sculptor of this piece was the well known Irish artist, Jim Connolly, a graduate of the Limerick School of Art and Design. |
