DEE DEE KING (RAMONE) - Funky Man [-FULL CLIP-]
1987, Dee Dee's in hospital. The guy in the next bed hears the doctor calling him 'Douglas Colvin' so he starts calling him Doug E fresh, after the rapper. Dee Dee gets into this and starts making up raps to pass the time. They're pretty funny and he makes a 12" single for Rock Hotel Records under the pseudonym Dee Dee King with this great artwork by James Rizzi. It gets a pretty good reception and Dee Dee wants to make an album. It finally comes out in 1989 produced by Daniel Rey with Mark(y) Bell(Ramone) on drums and guest appearances from Debbie Harry and Chris Stein. Standing In The Spotlight is 10 fun songs sung in a rap style. Its got the original longer version of 'The Crusher' that the Ramones did on their 'Adios Amigos' album. At this time he's still in the Ramones but he gets a taste of being the front man and the only boss and he likes it. Not too long after the album is released he leaves the band.... another info: Rapper Dee Dee King is actually rocker Dee Dee Ramone going through a whopping identity crisis in the late '80s. As Ramones drummer Marky Ramone put it, "Dee Dee isn't a rap artist, he's a rock artist. I thought it was sort of unusual. One day he started wearing Mercedes Benz chains around his neck and gold rings. It was crazy. You know, I really think he lost his mind." After leaving the Ramones in 1989, Dee Dee also spent the '90s writing Ramones songs (including six tracks on the Ramones' 1995 Adios Amigos), doing some production work, recording a solo rock 45 with a new band called the Chinese Dragons, and releasing a pair of solo rock classics on Wanker Records. http://www.deedeeking.net // http://www.ramones.com
Life is a Dream- Part 1
A play written by Pedro Calderon. Performed By Saint Johns Catholic Prep drama club. For having no funding it turned out great. Enjoy! Cast members include- Rosaura- Keegan Eichelman, Clarin- Sean Reilly-Wood, Segismundo- Daniel Valentin-Morales, Clotaldo- Austin Lepri (Me), King Basilio- Jordan Foss, Estrella- Nina Kieninger, Astolfo- Shane Drury, Servant- Afton Eichelman, rebel soldiers-David Knutson-Larry Ryba, palace guards- David Knutson-Larry Ryba, Narrators- Jennifer Holcomb and Tabitha Davis. Pedro Calderon de Barca was born in Madrid, Spain, on January 17, 1600. He is considered one of Spain's Most important dramatists who helped to define Spain's Golden Age of theater. After Studying at Jesuit Colegio Imperial, Calderon studied law at the University of Alcala (1614-15) and the University of Salamanca (1615-21). In 1621, he entered the household of the Constable of Castille, Don Bernardino Fernandez de Velasco. Two years later, in 1623, he began writing plays for the court. Calderon's most famous play, Life Is A Dream, explores the conflict between free will and predestination. It tells the story of the King of Poland who imprisons his son in a tower from birth in order to protect his reign and thwart the predictions of astrologers who saw the boy taking his father's throne. After several years, the King has a change of heart and orders his son to be drugged and brought to his palace for a trial. The young man behaves so badly, however, that the King soon banishes him back to his prison. Waking up in the tower, the son is soon convinced that he never left his lonely prison, and that the entire trial was just a dream. But a peasant uprising soon liberates the confused prisoner once more and results in the boy being crowned King. Fearful of waking once more in the tower and learning that this new life is but a dream, this time he conducts himself with discretion. Aside from Life Is A Dream, Calderon is perhaps best known for his plays of honor and revenge. These plays include The Physician Of His Honour, Secret Insult, Secret Vengeance, and The Painter Of His Own Dishonour. Calderon became a priest in 1651, but continued to write plays as the court dramatist for Phillip IV. At the time of his death (May 25, 1681), he had written over 80 autos sacramentales--- morality plays celebrating the mystery of the Eucharist on Corpus Christi day--- and at least 40 comedies and tragedies.

The Holy Bible - King James Version - 2 Chronicles - Ch. 16
2 Chronicles 16 1.In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. 2Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, 3[There is] a league between me and thee, as [there was] between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. 4And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali. 5And it came to pass, when Baasha heard [it], that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease. 6Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah. 7.And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. 8Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand. 9For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of [them] whose heart [is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 10Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for [he was] in a rage with him because of this [thing]. And Asa oppressed [some] of the people the same time. 11And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. 12And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease [was] exceeding [great]: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. 13And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. 14And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds [of spices] prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.
