A: There is no pump with a ring saw. Because the belt that drives the blade also picks up and delivers water to the cut, there is no need for one. Q: What is a Ring Saw? A: A Ring Saw is a unique, patented saw, combining the best qualities of a band saw and radial saw. Q: What does the Ring Saw cut? A: The Ring Saw will cut any hard material including stone, granite, marble, glass, shell, non ferrous metals, acrylic, and plexiglass. Q: How can diamond blades cut hard materials but do not cut skin? A: Skin bounces off of the diamond's riding over the bumps, but hard materials can not bounce so they get cut. Q: What is the difference between a Ring Saw and a band saw? A: Ring Saw's spin in a perfect circle and cut in all directions. Band saws travel in an ellipse, can cut basically forward like a polliwog travels. Q: What is the difference between a Ring Saw and a reciprocating saw? A: Ring Saws cut while spinning in a perfect circle, so there is little or no vibration while cutting. Jig saws vibrate cut on the up stroke causing delicate pieces to break and wear out much more quickly than Ring Saws. Q: Do I have to use water with my Ring Saw? A: Always use water. Q: When should I replace my wear parts? A: The average life of the drive belt is two to three blades. The Revolution blades are very similar to the solid 10" diameter blades you will find on most wet saws. The difference is that our blades have no center, giving you the ability to not only cut straight lines but also make tight radius cuts. Because we run our blades at a much slower R.P.M. than the average wet saw but with far more torque, they give the user a much higher quality cut with far less chipping and in some cases superior blade life. |

![]() | BANSHEE BIKES: Legend Mk1 Review Every aspect of the Legend frame is designed around one thing, to go faster! After 4 years of development, and designed to compete at world cup level racing, the Legend is a no compromise DH race winning machine. With low BB, roomy top tube and slack head angle the rider will feel at home pinning it over off camber roots and picking fast lines through even the burliest rock gardens. The frame itself has one of the lowest centre of gravities in its class due to the positioning of the rear shock as low in the frame as possible. With adjustable travel between 7" and 8.5" with self adjusting geometry this bike can be set up perfectly for any race course. The suspension linkage is designed to be progressive through the travel so that the bike feels plush on the high speed stutter bumps, but ramps up to take big hits without bottoming out. There is also a sublte but very effective pedal platform designed in to the leverage ratio curve that means when you stamp on the pedals the power goes straight to the back wheel rather than into wallowing suspension. Another factor that sets the acceleration of the legend apart from the rest is that lateral rigidity of the frame, using one piece 7005 T6 links and internally ribbed chain stays and seat stays makes for a bike that doesn’t loose power by flexing, and tracks better rounder corners. The Legend frame has an optimally active rear suspension under braking that offers the racer the best traction and frame balance possible if you feel the need to brake. The use of self lubricating polymer bushings and our custom axle design minimizes weight and maintenance time and costs, whilst increasing stiffness. The 3.0" stroke shock offers a low leverage ratio, which results in better damping performance. The custom shock basements give the legend strength and stiffness, whilst minimizing weight due to carefully designed machining and integrated ISCG 05 mounts. The Legend is finished off with custom hydro-formed triple butted 7005 T6 top and down tubes with integrated gussets to give the frame strength with minimal weight. The result is a stiffer stronger frame that weighs in at under 8.5lbs without shock. » Low Centre of Gravity » World Cup DH race geometry » Low Leverage Ratio » Travel: 7" / 8.5" VF4P » Weight: 8.4 lbs » Sizes: Small, Medium, Large » Colors: Raw w/ Gloss Clear Coat » Shock: Fox DHX 5.0 Coil / Cane Creek » Double Barrel » Headtube: 1.5" » 150mm rear hub spacing » Chainguide Mounts: Yes, [ISCG 2005] » Tubeset: 7005 T6 Al Banshee Custom » Hydroformed Tubing |
![]() | Ozone Instinct Light 2 (II) Kiteboarding Kitesurf Kite The Ozone Instinct Light 2 (II) is an affordable, ultra light, 3 strut kite ideal for a wide range of riders and conditions. The Ozone Instinct Light 2 (II) is fun and easy to fly and we feel this versatile machine will redefine recreational Kitesurfing. The Ozone Instinct Light 2 (II) is the perfect travel kite; light in weight and packs very small due to its compact size and minimalist 3 Strut Concept. Take the 12m on holiday with your surfboard and you have the perfect travel combo that will be under any airlines weight limits! The low end grunt of the Instinct Light 2 (II) is truly impressive and combined with its massive depower, the wind range of the Light allows you to consider a one size quiver for most days. For wave riding, the Ozone Instinct Light's low weight is the secret that unleashes its increased performance from such a stable shape. It literally hangs in the air even in super light winds and at the edge of the wind window.... it just keeps pulling. The lightness is really felt when on fast waves ...when moving with a quick wave the rider can easily overtake the kite and create less tension on the lines between rider and kite. While a heavy kite loses power and dies in this situation, the Instinct Light just keeps pulling away from the rider maintaining constant tension & pressure in the lines. This allows the rider to concentrate 100% on the wave knowing that the Light is always ready, and with its progressive steering one can confidently snap turns at will up or down the line. For intermediate riders interested in learning to ride unhooked the Light is also the kite to own. You can un-hook without stressing your head with crazy power, the Light seriously makes riding un-hooked easy and stress free and therefore makes it easier for you to master your moves. This is the unhooked school kite that will allow the rider to learn those ballsy moves with ease. The Ozone Instinct Light 2 (II) has also been designed to be as easy and adaptable as possible, making it the ideal kite for schools and beginners looking for simplicity and a quick learning curve. Line Trimmers affixed above each bar end, allow instructors to adjust the perfect line tension for any wind condition. If you prefer more bar pressure, simply pull in the trimmers. Want that light feel, just let the trimmer back out. The relaunch is almost automatic, just turn the bar and it's in the air. The Lights constant power and fluid steering combined with user friendly characteristics makes the Light a dream for accelerating any learning curve. It is powerful enough to tow into the largest of waves, yet its low aspect shape will keep you on your board and not eject you when the trigger is pulled. We also feel that this kite is ideal for the occasional kiter or family that loves kiting yet does not want to invest in a lot of equipment. With the Light they have the best of all worlds, a fun and easy kite for all ages of the family that has full depower, re-assuring safety, easy relaunch, and not only is it light in weight it is also light on the wallet. The basic reason is that the clubface is open to the path it is travel-ing on at the moment of impact. This in turn puts slice spin on the ball causing the ball to curve to the right |
![]() | LOST.TV - ...LOST SURFBOARDS 2008 - NEW TECHNOLOGIES NEW TECH and MATERIALS EPS -US BLANKS EPS and MARKO FOAM PARABOLIC EPS: "Lighter, stronger, longer lasting, high performance custom shaped surfboards". The advantage of EPS core is the strength to weight ratio of the foam. We are using only MARKO and US BLANKS brand foam cores. They are the only brands on the market that are specifically molded for surfboards and proven to be the lightest, tightest and cleanest to shape. The water absorption when dinged is on par with a normal PU blank (meaning they no longer soak like a sponge after a ding). We work primarily with 2.1 lb foam, that's about as firm as PU, but much, much lighter, and are using combinations of 4,5 and 6 oz Glass per board combined with Greg Loher's Resin Research epoxy resins. These custom boards are as light as any "team glassed" PU, yet much stronger than any standard PU board of like weight. Nearly all the pro and top amateur competitors, we build board for, use them now in small surf. FIBREFLEX: The FiberFlex Technology is a completely custom surfboard shaped out of a stringer less EPS core, with parabolic CARBON FIBER frame. It creates a board with a high energy and rapid spring back resulting in lively speed and drive. The EPS core, when combined with the parabolic carbon fiber frame and epoxy laminate, ensures a surfboard that will maintain it's liveliness for longer than a PU surfboard. The key to the flex pattern of the FiberFlex board is the parabolic carbon fiber frame, which is constructed within the board design. The carbon fiber frame is designed to maxize speed and drive while maintaining a flex pattern that flows with waves. The structural design of the frame minimizes twisting of the board, which results in a board that is less likely to snap and crease. The flex pattern of the board is very lively and responsive. You will feel the board responding to your surfing much quicker, whick results in more speed and drive when you need it. XTR(Extruded Poly Styrene): Custom made trademarked technology surfboards that are incredibly light, white and very resistant to dents and dings. Absolutely no water absorption when dinged and they make a good travel board for that reason. Very popular custom order boards that float and paddle well and have a unique feel witha fast reflex and snap under your feet and a quick, responsive "lively" touch. XTR - XTR PARABOLICK STRINGER, DUEL DENSITY CUSTOM SURFBOARDS(ETR PP/DD): A combination of 2.5 lb XTR (Extruded Poly Styrene) foam blank in the center with ultra high-density 3.5 lb "blue" extruded foam on the rails. The two foams are seperated by 3mm. wood stringers bent into a "parabolic" curve. An incredibly strong custom shaped board with superb flex properties. This construction eliminates tail cave ins and "rail cancer". Made custom to order in limited models. TRADITIONAL PU/PE(Polyurethane foam/Polystyrene resins): Since the closure of Clark Foam in Dec 2005, PU Blanks have undergone a revolution of RnD. There are now stronger, lighter, livelier blanks, an array of new fiberglass weaves and glassing techniques that are netting us the best PU surfboard quality we have ever had. With all the hype on new materials and different technologies, the traditional PU boards are still the most popular we make and sell. Surfers: Ryan Carlson, Chris Ward and Mason Ho. ![]() | practice swing analyzing my golf swing taken summer 08 i know it looks bad b/c i haven't played all but like 4 times this whole year. be easy on the criticism. i was a 8 handicap mainly b/c of my poor putting. i'm the 3 putt king. any tips and advice would help some. i used to be a draw flight player. but that was when i started and i'm trying to get it back by dropping my elbow inside to help promote an inside-out swing path. but now my consistency went down the drain and i play mostly a fade/slice and try to swing square down the target line. some flaws in swing: 1. i hold the triangle formed by my shoulders and hands to long, that's why the club face is shut and not parallel to ground at hip height. but i do this purposefully to help promote a wide arc swing. 2. about chest height the club isn't perpendicular to ground (doesn't have to be) but my right arm hides behind the left arm changing the plane the club is on. 3. at the top of the swing it just looks terrible =( I'm past parallel, the shaft points to the right and i lose the flex in the right arm, it's not 90 degrees anymore. 4. on the downswing i dip a little too much and the club starts on the inside. if i could stop the excessive dip i could stop leaving the clubface open. hence the strong grip to naturally close the face at impact. 5. i hold onto the release for a very long time, almost till my hands get in front of my right hip. at least my right side keeps moving through the ball. 6. my shots always travel down the target line then curve off at teh tail, so i know in "the impact box" i'm at least on plane. maybe i need to refit my clubs to get them on the right angle. 7. not a strong weight transfer into the ball and my head ends up behind the ball rather than over or slightly past. but that's how i setup to it. |

""When I was a kid, the greatest backyard baseball game my brother and I played every day was a form of corkball - we wrapped tape around a cork. The problem was the tape would get wet and ruin, and the weight always varied, making our 'ball' very inconsistent to throw and hit. With Corkball, the balls are all the same and the PVC leather is virtually indestructible. Without a doubt playing Corkball helped us improve as hitters and it was loads of fun." - L. Blanco, former New York Yankees minor league catcher. |
