CONCERN FOR COMMUNITY (COOPERATIVES)


The seventh of the 'Rochdale Principles' states that Co-operative societies must have concern for their communities. According to the International Co-operative Alliance's Statement on the Co-operative Identity, "Co-operatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies approved by their members."[1]
