The Bilderberg Group made a press release available explaining the agenda for the meeting: "The conference will deal mainly with a nuclear free world, cyber terrorism, Africa, Russia, finance, protectionism, U.S.-European Union relations, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Islam and Iran. Approximately 140 participants will attend, of whom about two-thirds come from Europe and the balance from North America," the release stated. "About one-third is from government and politics, and two-thirds are from finance, industry, labor, education and communications. The meeting is private in order to encourage frank and open discussion." James A. Johnson was going to be the one who selected Democratic candidate Barack Obama's running mate for the 2008 election and in turn potentially act as kingmaker for America's future President before stepping down after he was outed as an elitest. He was also the "Veep Vetter" for John Kerry's running mate, which Kerry was obviously a set up candidate too. Johnson is a member of "American Friends of Bilderberg," which is an offshoot Bilderberg front group that has accepted donations from the Ford Foundation to fund Bilderberg meetings where lavish hotels are entirely booked up for three days, by no means an inexpensive feat. The organization is basically a steering committee for the Bilderberg Group - a secretarial outpost through which Bilderberg conferences are organized. Johnson has also directly attended Bilderberg meetings therefore can be classed as a Bilderberg member. He attended last year's meeting in Istanbul, Turkey and was also on the leaked list of attendies at this years meeting. As AFP (American Free Press) has reported for years, Bilderberg has been trying since 1992 to "establish a UN tax" which would be used to finance their globalist-oriented programs. Of course, the brunt of this tax would fall on American workers, and it appears this is being spearheaded by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. On Feb. 14, 2008, an Obama-sponsored bill called the "Global Poverty Act" (S 2433) was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee after passing the House. What this bill would do, in effect, is levy a global tax on the United States where an additional 0.7% of the gross national product would be earmarked to foreign aid (on top of what we already give). If passed this year, by 2021 the U.S. would be committed to an extra $845 billion in foreign aid. Not only would the United States be under the UN's thumb in regard to taxation, but this bill (part of the globalists' Millennium Development Goal) would also seek to ban certain weapons, establish an international criminal court, push global warming legislation, and promote "biological diversity." Anyone familiar with Bilderberg sees that all of the above "buzzwords" have been part of their agenda for decades. Assisting Obama in his endeavors are two longtime Council on Foreign Relations members: Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.), who has been called Obama's mentor, and Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.). Both have attended secret Bilderberg meetings and have been influential in trying to ratify the UN's Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST). One political commentator has stated that this bill "would effectively turn control of seven-tenths of the Earth's surface over to the UN," not to mention surrendering the sovereignty of our seas to them. (The following information is from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) 9/11: Press for Truth is a 2006 documentary film about the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, directed by the American filmmaker Ray Nowosielski, and partially based on The Terror Timeline, by Paul Thompson. 9/11: Press for Truth follows three of the Jersey Girls (widows of individuals killed in the attacks) as well as other family members in their search for answers about what really happened on 9/11. Among their questions were: * Why had NORAD failed to protect the known terrorist targets, the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? * Why did the World Trade Center Towers, including Building 7, completely collapse when no other steel-framed skyscraper had ever previously totally collapsed due to fire? * Why did George W Bush stay in a Florida classroom for over 10 minutes after he had been told that the second Tower had been hit? The film uses archive news footage, press conferences and newspaper clippings to document the unwillingness of the George W. Bush administration to provide answers to the families' questions or support a full independent investigation. It also shows how the mainstream media avoided asking the politicians the toughest questions. The film can be roughly divided into three sections: The 9/11 Commission and the Family Steering Committee The first part of the film shows how the 9/11 family members took it upon themselves to pressure the government into eventually forming the 9/11 Commission. The families set up the 9/11 Family Steering Committee to monitor the Commission, proving them with hundreds of well-researched questions for which they expected answers. The film shows how the government continued to obstruct the investigation, including: * Henry Kissinger, the original Chairman of the Commission, was forced to resign due to a possible conflict of interest. * The White House refused to release documents that the Commission requested. * George Bush and Dick Cheney refused to testify in public, and only agreed to meet with the commission together, behind closed doors and not under oath. Lorie Van Auken, one of the Jersey Girls, estimates that only 30% of their questions had been touched upon in the 9/11 Commission Report. The film mentions the following omissions from the Report: * The total collapse of Building 7 was not mentioned. * The World Trade Center steel, which may have proved beyond doubt how the total collapses occurred, was destroyed before it could be forensically examined. * There was no mention of the money that was wired to lead hijacker Mohammad Atta on September 10th, allegedly by order of the Head of the Pakistani ISI (which is funded in part by the CIA). The Report stated that the issue of who funded the attacks is "of little practical significance." Government Prior Knowledge The second part begins by introducing Paul Thompson, an investigative journalist who has collated mainstream news reports into an interactive online resource, the The Complete 9/11 Timeline (later released in book form as The Terror Timeline). Thompson discusses evidence that shows that the government were aware of the threat of planes being flown into buildings, and were given warnings by 14 different countries about imminent Al Quaida attacks, some mentioning multiple plane hijackings and targets including the World Trade Center. He also describes the August 6th PDB (Presidential Daily Briefing) entitled "Bin Laden determined to strike inside United States." The War In Afghanistan The final part of the film looks at the US invasion of Afghanistan, discussing in detail how the Bin Laden family, along with top members of Al Quaida and the Taleban, repeatedly escaped while being surrounded by US forces, eventually fleeing to Pakistan. It also looks briefly at the Soviet-Afghan War and how the Afghanistani Muhajadeen, the precursor of Al Quaida, were funded by the CIA to fight Soviets. |

Canada's New Democrats are the only national party that actually has a resolution and a policy for decriminalization of marijuana. And, in advocating that position, we understand that we need a drug policy that does not rely primarily on our legal system. This policy must be part of a broader drug strategy that focuses on a health based approach, as recommended by a 2002 Special Committee on the Non-Medical Use of Drugs on which NDP MP Libby Davies played an important role. We want Canada to take steps that reflect a more intelligent and compassionate direction on drug use. Not only have our courts ruled differently on medical marijuana and our government responded accordingly but also there is a growing chorus of established opinion for a different approach to the possession of marijuana for personal use. Decriminalization, we believe, is a first step, but it is not the only step. It is a first step to what needs to be an open debate about the failure of the current practices and the need to focus on the real issues such as: avoiding needless criminalization of citizens; and working with youth on health and social effects - particularly impaired driving.
