(Redirected from Commissioners for Sick and Hurt Seamen) The 'Sick and Hurt Commissioners' were the body, strictly the Commission for Sick and Hurt Seamen, responsible for medical services in the 18th century British Royal Navy. They were a separate (but subsidiary) body to the Navy Board, supplying sugeons to naval ships and running hospitals ashore.
