Cold (But I'm Still Here).''
"'Cold'" is the first
single released by the
post-grunge/
hard rock band Crossfade. It was the lead single released from their debut full-length self-titled album ''
Crossfade'' in
2004. The single was also released in 2004. It faired exceptionally well on rock charts worldwide and is their biggest hit to date, reaching #81 on the
U.S. Hot 100, #3 on the U.S.
Mainstream Rock Tracks, and #2 on the U.S.
Modern Rock Tracks, as well as reaching #41 on the
UK Singles Chart.
It still receives some
airplay on rock radio stations around the
United States. The musical video was featured on a sampler disc that shipped with the first
PlayStation Portable consoles.
The song is about a man who was unintentionally mean or cold-hearted to a loved one in the past, and now he is apologizing to the person. The person he is apologizing to has been polite and caring to him, so this must be the reason why he is saying sorry about the way he treated them.
