Steve Wiebe, King of Kong Interview While games like Grand Theft Auto 4 may be all the rage today with their advanced graphics and expansive maps, old school classics like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Galaga haven't become any less fun over the years. We went down to the Twiistup event in Santa Monica to speak to Steve Wiebe and Walter Day from the documentary movie, The King of Kong to find out why games that were made over two decades ago are still being played, and to get the scoop on Steve's Donkey Kong world record attempt.  | Amiga Longplay [020] T2 - The Arcade Game http://www.recordedamigagames.org Intro+Game+Outro (not much of an outro). Too bad that when playing with "music and fx" on, you wont hear the shooting, enemies dying, crashing etc effects. You only hear the music and a voice now and then. They should have composed the music to use 2 channels instead of 4 so they could have all sound and music on at the same time. Wolfchild, my favorite game, only uses 2 channels for music and 2 for sound, and the music is AWESOME. |
 | The Simpsons Arcade Game: C64 Footage Footage from the obscure port of the Simpsons Arcade Game, on the Commodore 64. Obviously, it's not as fast, or as fun as the Arcade game, but what do you expect from a game that was release at the peek of the C64's lifetime. I mean, the C64 has some great games, but The Simspsons Arcade game just doesn't seem suited for the C64. It's a shame that this, as well as the DOS version, where the only ports. |
