'Clotaire' (French; Latin ''Chlotharius''; German ''Chlothar'') is a Germanic given name, which evolved into the later form Lothair (''Lotharius''). It is a combination of the words ''hlut'' = loud und ''heri'' = army, warrior.
It can refer to the following kings of the Franks:

★ Clotaire I (497 – 561)

★ Clotaire II (584 – 629)

★ Clotaire III (652 – 673)

★ Clotaire IV (died 719)
