Interview with Drs. Leebert and Ouida Wright
Drs. Leebert and Ouida Wright are a husband and wife team with a lifetime of accomplishments to their credit. Dr. Leebert came to Canada from Jamaica in 1951 to study at McGill University and went on to an illustrious career in biochemistry. He was Director of Clinical Biochemistry at the Wellesley Hospital and President of the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemistry. Dr. Ouida earned her M.A. at McGill University and a Ph. D. at Cornell. After almost 50 years of professional work in Jamaica, Quebec and Ontario, Dr. Wright retired in 1995 as Assistant Deputy Minister of Anti-Racism, Access and Equity in Ontario's Ministry of Education and Training. For 15 years, she was Superintendent of Curriculum in the Toronto Board of Education.

http://www.encognitive.com Change Your Brain, Change Your Life Daniel G. Amen, MD Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist Helped pioneer the use of brain SPECT imaging in psychiatry Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior UC, Irvine, School of Medicine Trained at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association Award Winning Researcher, Writer and Teacher Dr. Daniel G. Amen, M.D., has seen with his own eyes how people can literally change their brains and change their lives. "This is one of the most exciting breakthroughs in medicine, because with a better brain, always comes a better life. When you do the right things, you make your brain better and improve your life. When you do the wrong things, you hurt your brain and make your life harder. Day-in-and-day-out, everyday, you are either HELPING or HURTING your brain. For example: Did you know that blueberries are one of the best brain foods on the planet, along with avocados, walnuts, salmon and green tea? But not getting enough sleep decreases brain function and hurts your memory and your ability to concentrate. Did you know that boosting blood flow to your brain is literally the fountain of youth? But doing things that decrease blood flow, like nicotine, too much caffeine, alcohol or being exposed to toxic fumes prematurely ages your brain." Written by a psychiatrist and neuroscientist who has also authored a book on attention deficit disorder, Change Your Brain contains dozens of brain scans of patients with various neurological problems, from caffeine, nicotine, and heroin addiction to manic-depression to epilepsy. These scans, often showing large gaps in neurological activity or areas of extreme over-activity, are downright frightening to look at, and Dr. Amen should know better than to resort to such scare tactics. But he should also be commended for advocating natural remedies, including deep breathing, guided imagery, meditation, self-hypnosis, and biofeedback for treating disorders that are so frequently dealt with by prescription only.

Dr. Lita Lee alternative mental health therapy Part 2:
Lita Lee, Ph.D. is a chemist, enzyme therapist, nutritionist, author and lecturer and has been in private practice since 1984. Her clients span the globe from the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Israel, England, Turkey, France, Ireland, Japan, South Africa, the Philippines and Australia. People find out about Dr. Lee from her lectures, TV and radio shows plus her books, articles and newsletters as well as the Internet. Dr. Lee has an office in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Lee received a doctorate in chemistry in 1967 from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and spent the early years of her career as a research chemist at SRI International in Menlo Park, California. Her interest in nutrition, environmental health and natural organic foods led her from the chemistry laboratory into clinical practice in 1984. Dr. Lee's strong scientific background qualifies her work as an enzyme therapist, particularly her specialty of developing nutritional protocols for balancing body chemistry, with a focus on enzyme nutrition, hormonal balancing, diet and protection from environmental toxins. With a chemist's understanding of the negative health effects of our increasingly polluted environment, Dr. Lee has undertaken the mission of informing the public on the dangers of toxins and radiation and providing guidance for reducing or eliminating exposure. With this in mind, she authored the Radiation Protection Manual, and from 1991 to 1994, published Earthletter, a quarterly newsletter giving information on the latest developments in the fields of environmental health and radiation protection, including political issues involving nutrition, medicine, and the environment. In 1987, Dr. Lee received certification as an enzyme therapist from Dr. Howard Loomis of Madison, Wisconsin and has been doing this work ever since. It is an open-ended, cutting-edge field with continuous new and exciting developments. In 1994, Dr. Lee became federally licensed by CLIA to perform the Loomis 24-hour urinalysis. In 1998, Dr. Lee was trained by Sharry Edwards to do research in BioAcoustics and has participated in this research since that time. She uses her background and training in chemistry and enzyme therapy as a research tool. In October 1998, Future Medicine published Dr. Lee's book, The Enzyme Cure, which covers 11 years of research and clinical experience in plant enzyme therapy and presents 50 different case histories covering 36 different health conditions linked to enzyme deficiencies. This book also covers Dr. Lee's work on hormonal balancing and environmental health.
