'''Civilization Revolution''' (full title: '''Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution''') is a new iteration of ''Civilization'' being developed by Firaxis with Sid Meier as designer for seventh generation consoles and hand-helds. The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo DS versions are due for release in Early 2008, while the Wii version is expected for Late 2008. 2K Games reveals E3 line up including Civilization for Wii Daniel Vuckovic
The lateness of the Wii version and the lack of a PlayStation Portable version were attributed to a lack of development manpower.^[1] They did not preclude the development of a PSP version in the future.
Meier has been enthusiastic about this installment, being quoted in both the press release and trailer as saying, "This is the game I've always wanted to make."
