CHESHIRE PLAIN

The 'Cheshire Plain' is a flat, boulder clay plain situated entirely within Cheshire. It is bounded by the hills of North Wales in the west, and the Peak District of Derbyshire in the east. To the north west lies the peninsular known as Wirral. It was formed by the retreat of ice age glaciers.
