CHELSEA FOX

'Chelsea Fox' is a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. She is played by Tiana Benjamin. She first appeared on 5 May 2006, working in Walford's video shop. She has since been joined by her mother Denise and her sister Libby.

Chelsea went on a date with Grant Mitchell, but Grant was just using her to make Jane Collins jealous. Grant slept with the 19-year-old, before her protective mother came along and wrongly accused Kevin Wicks of being a cradle snatcher. Grant then ended the relationship after realising that Chelsea was getting hurt because he still loved Jane. Grant also got Chelsea a job at the café working with Jane, after Billy sacked her from the video shop. She then got a job as a waitress in Fargo's restaurant. Two months later, Chelsea's managaress at Fargo's, Elaine Jarvis sacked her. Kevin later convinced Elaine to give her the job back but Chelsea left a few weeks later.
Chelsea was very happy when her mum got together with Kevin, but turned hostile towards her mother's ex-husband Owen Turner who came to Albert Square to see her younger half sister Libby. Chelsea was disgusted when she found out that her mother had slept with him after breaking it off with Kevin. Her comments regarding the incident led to Denise slapping her. Later that day, after a few drinks, Owen hit Denise and Chelsea found a few days later.
Denise was about to leave again to escape Owen but Chelsea convinced her not to go. They had a long talk about the situation. Chelsea revealed that Owen had hit Chelsea when she interfered in an argument between him and Denise. She asked her mum to think about the fact that Owen always found it convenient to hit her whenever Libby was asleep and that Libby did not know that Owen hit her. Denise realised that she had made a huge mistake and made the decision to leave Owen for good, but Owen beat her and was arrested.
Chelsea later got a job at Tanya Branning's salon Booty. She was horrified when her mother provided a character witness for Owen, due to Libby being sad. Chelsea was extremely upset and moved out of home and moved in with Kevin. She later told her mother she had been scared that Owen would kill her.
On 15 January 2007 Chelsea was involved in a car crash with Deano Wicks, who was seriously injured. Chelsea was lucky enough to escape with only minor cuts and bruises.
During March 2007, Chelsea took care of mother Denise following the disppearance of Kevin after revelations that he is not the father of Carly and Deano. Her position at Booty became increasingly temporary, possibly due to her relationship with Sean Slater, who appeared to be using Chelsea to get closer to, or to make jealous, Tanya Branning and later Carly Wicks. Sean succeeded in making Carly jealous and after a fight between Carly and Chelsea, Carly had sex with Sean. Sean later dumped Chelsea for Carly as he found her more exciting. Chelsea has teamed up with Deano to try and sabotage Carly and Sean's relationship.
In 2007, Chelsea set Carly up with a stranger named Warren Stamp, to keep her away from Sean. While Carly and Warren were on a date, Preeti showed Chelsea a horrifying bruise that Warren had given her, leaving Chelsea astounded. Preeti and Chelsea desperately tried to locate Carly, but she was rescued by Sean.
In August 2007, Chelsea and Deano swore revenge against Sean, as Sean had a violent argument with Patrick Trueman, and later Patrick was attacked while in the shop. Chelsea and Deano rang the police, claiming that they had seen Sean enter the shop before Patrick was attacked. After writing about their relationships with Sean for the police, they left only to see Sean being taken to a cell by police, meaning Sean knew that Chelsea and Deano were the witnesses. Sean yelled at them that they were dead. A few days later Deano wanted to withdraw his statement. Chelsea got very upset. Later on they kissed. But after Deano was badly beaten up by two thugs, arranged by Sean, he wanted to hand over the CCTV footage of the real attacker. Chelsea took the tape to the post office and handed it over to Shabnam, telling her it must go in the slowest post possible. But Denise almost caught her and instead she put it in her bag for later. But as her and Preeti were walking, she was mugged and her bag was stolen - along with the tape. Later, Gus handed Carly the retrieved bag and she took it back home. Both Carly and Kevin found the tape, which Chelsea had told them previously that it was a film she had recorded for Preeti. As Carly went out to get popcorn, Kevin made a shocking discovery - that the tape was the CCTV footage of the attack on Patrick, showing the real attacker - Craig!
On September 7, Chelsea and Deano were arrested for attempting to pervert the course of justice.
When DS Dunn started interviewing Chelsea and (not Deano but he was in other room being interviewed with another DS) about their statements and recapping of what happened at the scene of Patrick's attack, things went from bad - to worse. Chelsea tried to lie her way out of the mess but the lies got out of control when DS Dunn reveals the police had received the CCTV tape (although its a bit complicated because Kevin burnt the actual tape, but unluckily for him, Carly had copied the footage into a new one). After viewing the tape, DS Dunn advises Chelsea to stop lying to her because of the evidence was a different story to hers. Before Chelsea thought she can get out of this one, she (including Deano in separate interview rooms) were eventually imprisoned.
Whilst they are escorted to their cells, Chelsea broke down in tears regretting for what she had done to Patrick. When she turned to her left there was a script on the wall 'ur screwed' written on it. As her mum would have wanted, an apology, not knowing that Chelsea is in prison.
Deano and Chelsea were subsequently remanded in custody after they confessed their statements were false.

Personality

Chelsea is considered a very attractive young woman by most people and as such is very vain about her appearance however she is not a narcissistic person as she can be very passive and easily controlled. She is dominated by her mother, albeit reluctantly and has very little respect for herself in relationships with men. She has had liaisons with Grant Mitchell and Sean Slater and was obsequious to both men. As such she has had very little luck in relationships, despite her beauty. Grant Mitchell merely went out with her to make Jane Collins jealous and Sean Slater quickly lost interest in her when the more tenacious Carly Wicks caught his attention. Chelsea is now bitter and out for revenge on Carly.
Chelsea is evidently not as shallow as she appears as she has been very supportive of her mother and even her little sister, Libby whom she apparently loves despite holding in a certain level of contempt.
