 | What's in it for YOU!? During the last few weeks I have been talking about Purpose and how it's stronger than your WHY. In my experience your purpose is usually larger than your why. So why ask WHY? Your WHY is great for short term solutions and it allows for you to have time to focus on your purpose. Also it can be a bit confusing when distinguishing that fine line between PURPOSE and WHY. For Example: let's say you are in a network marketing program and your sponsor asks for you to "find your WHY". Anyone can come up with a WHY; "I'm doing this so I can have time with the family", "I'm looking for more gas money", "I'm trying to replace my job"; these are all good short term solutions. Let's say your WHY is about family. You say, "I'm doing this so I can spend more time with the family!" As enthusiastic as you might be with the realization that you can spend time with the family; what really happens is just short term results. This is because you goal is smaller than you think. What about PURPOSE? Going back to the family; I want for you to think why it is you want to spend more time with the family. What is it that makes you cross that blurry fine line into PURPOSE. Take a legal notepad and divide it into three sections. With your mind focused on your WHY. Do the following. Section one: write down all the reasons "why you want to spend time with your family" Section two: write down the why for each reason as to why you want to spend time with the family. Section three: look at your answers in section two. Find the common themes that come to you the most; a good indication to this is that it will bring up an emotional response. Ask a close friend or family member to help you find the common themes. You want a stronger answer. Take a moment to read those answers to someone; see what they noticed in you as you read each one. This exercise may not provide an immediate answer; it will give you a direction to finding the answer that best fits you and who you are. After doing this; my hope is that you see that your WHY is not the answer. Your WHY is the direction you must look in order to find your PURPOSE.  | Virtual Eve The near-human performance of a virtual teacher called Eve created by Massey researchers has drawn the attention of scientists across the computing world. Eve is what is known in the information sciences as an intelligent or affective tutoring system that can adapt its response to the emotional state of people by interaction through a computer system. The system "Easy with Eve" is thought to be the first of its type. The ability of virtual Eve to alter her presentation according to the reaction of the child facing her at the keyboard has been hailed as an exciting development in the $25 billion e-learning market. The Massey scientists, led by Dr Hossein Sarrafzadeh at the Auckland-based Institute of Information and Mathematical Sciences, tell the story of creating Eve and the teaching system in the latest issue of the leading international journal on information sciences, Elsevier. Because one-to-one teaching is known to be the most effective teaching method, Dr Sarrafzadeh says the researchers wanted to create a virtual teacher that could pick up body language and facial expressions -- like a real teacher -- to interact and to ensure they are holding the attention of students. He says the realisation that software systems would significantly improve performance if they could adapt to the emotions of the user has spawned research and development in the field of affective or intelligent tutoring systems. "With rising demand for long-distance learning and online tutoring, a computer programe capable of detecting human emotions may become a critical teaching tool." Although Eve was developed for one-to-one maths teaching with eight-year-olds, she is a significant new character in the future of human computer interaction and could be a personalised virtual tutor by any name. Linked to a child via computer, the animated character or virtual tutor can tell if the child is frustrated, angry or confused by the on-screen teaching session and can adapt the tutoring session appropriately. The animated Eve (with a human-sounding voice) can ask questions, give feedback, discuss questions and solutions and show emotion. To develop the software for this system the Massey team observed children and their interactions with teachers and captured them on thousands of images. From these images of facial expression, gestures and body movements they developed programs that would capture and recognise facial expression, body movement, and (via a mouse) heart rate and skin resistance. The system uses a network of computer systems, mainly embedded devices, to detect student emotion and other significant bio-signals. "When we interact with people we expect them to take note of our feelings and reactions. Soon we will be able to expect the same from a computer," says Dr Sarrafzadeh. |

The very fact that our body is an assembled mass of molecules implies that we are energetic entities. Further, quantum physics discovered in the last decades that every particle of matter is associated with interaction and resonance quanta (parcels of energy) at a ratio of about 1 nucleon to 1 billion quanta. The quanta exhibit specific patterns and are susceptible to resonance. These subtle energetic configurations (bodies) can be disturbed causing unwellness and pain. Since the unconscious mind is the controlling intelligence in the body, it is the connection between the mind and the immune system and the unconscious mind can communicate with any part of the body and can stimulate the healing process. Negative and trapped emotions as well as limiting decisions and beliefs connected to past memories trapped in the body are not beneficial to health and can start illness or impede getting well, and that is why we must release them! Many mental, emotional and physical diseases are preceded by a significant negative emotional experience (SEE). Significant emotional experience is any major, highly charged emotional event. However, we might not be fully aware of the significance or gravity of a particular event in the past and its effect on us now. These experiences have the potential to create and often are the source of illness and diminish the quality of life because they are stored in the body and are harmful. These trapped emotions in the body can create obstructions that can impede the flow of nerve information through the neural network pathways and lead to all sorts of problems. Cancer is a disease that scares us the most and is one of the world`s biggest killers. Cancer first begins when one or more of the billions of cells in our body breaks free from it`s normal restraints and starts to multiply in an abnormal, uncontrolled way. This can happen to almost any type of body cell -- bone, skin, blood and so on -- so there are many types of cancer as there are different cells in the body -- about 200. Growth of abnormal cells fall into two broad groups. First are the oncogenes, mutated versions of healthy genes that normally stimulate cell division but, in this instance, become overactive so cell production runs out of control.
