![]() | CHARLES MANSON - Celebrity Scientologist We all know how the Church of Scientology likes to wheel out its Celebrity recruits in an attempt to give the cult and its arcane practices an air of respectability. Less well known, however, are the cults infamous Celebrity parishioners, which include no other than CHARLES MANSON, the lunatic who ordered his followers to murder actress Sharon Tate, entrepreneur Leno LaBianca and a number of others - and, whilst on trial, for carving a Nazi Swastika into his own forehead. Manson was introduced to Scientology by Lanier Rayner, a cell mate at McNeil Island Penitentiary, Washington, in 1961. Manson became so obsessed with Scientology that he would speak of nothing else and, when asked by the prison service for his religion, he would reply "Scientology." It is known that whilst serving this prison sentence, Manson took over 150 hours of Scientology training. It has been documented that when Manson was released from prison in 1967, he had developed a philosophy of life that blended Scientology with aspects of Nietzsche. Manson was so taken by Scientology's brainwashing techniques that he bought his own e-meter. In addition, Bruce Davis, one of Manson's gang members, had also studied Scientology (in London), before he brutally murdered Doreen Gaul and James Sharp in November 1969. Scientology tries to distance itself from Charles Manson. However, Manson's membership of the cult was confirmed by Paulette Cooper at the Clearwater Scientology Hearings in May 1982. ![]() | ConspiraZ: The Manson/Zodiac Connection - trailer ConspiraZ: The Manson/Zodiac Connection - trailer Infamous madman Charles Manson and his murderous minions marked the end of the 1960s, and symbolized the downfall of the so-called "hippie" counter-culture. In one of the most sensational trials in American history, Manson and his "family" of killers were convicted for the brutal slayings of actress Sharon Tate and many others. The Family dodged the death penalty due to a Supreme Court ruling on capital punishment and still sit in prison, but their devilish deeds continue to haunt the world while inspiring new followers of Manson's philosophy. The members of the Manson Family were the perfect villains and soon theories emerged that linked the counter-culture cult to other crimes, including New York's "Son of Sam" serial shooting spree and San Francisco's notorious and still-unsolved "Zodiac" murders. This film examines the history of the Manson family murders and explores the possibility that the Zodiac murders were simply a chapter in the sad story of Helter Skelter. COMING SOON |
![]() | Obama & Ayers: Weather Underground Evil Details on WU: (thanks Ivan) Weatherman (known colloquially as The Weathermen) was a political faction elected in 1968 to lead the radical group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The organization took its name from a line in the Bob Dylan song Subterranean Homesick Blues ("You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"). Emerging in 1969 as the most militant wing of the SDS's Revolutionary Youth Movement, the fledgling Weatherman issued a "manifesto" eschewing nonviolence and calling instead for armed opposition to U.S. policies; advocating the overthrow of capitalism; exhorting white radicals to trigger a worldwide revolution by fighting in the streets of the "mother country"; and proclaiming that the time had come to launch a race war against the "white" United States on behalf of the non-white Third World. Grounded in identity politics, Weatherman ideology and rhetoric rebelled against what later came to be known as America's "white skin privilege." Weatherman opposed the strategy of a rival SDS faction, Progressive Labor, which rejected the sexual and chemical excesses of the counter-cultural movements of the 1960s in favor of a purer, Marxist-Leninist popular front movement aimed at developing student-labor alliances. FBI files from 1976, recently made public under the Freedom of Information Act, confirm the connections between Weatherman, Havana, and Moscow. Weatherman leaders like Mark Rudd traveled illegally to Havana in 1968 to engage in terrorist training. There, camps set up by Soviet KGB Colonel Vadim Kotchergine were educating Westerners both in Marxist philosophy and urban warfare. At a 1969 "War Council" in Flint, Michigan, Weatherman leader Bernardine Dohrn (currently a law professor at Northwestern University and a Board member of the ACLU) praised the serial murderer Charles Manson and his accomplices: "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim's stomach. Wild." She then proclaimed that the time had come to launch a war against "Amerikkka" (Weatherman always spelled "America" this way, to convey the group's belief that the nation was ineradicably racist to its core). Toward this end, Dohrn advocated the formation of an even more radical "Weather Underground" cult to carry out covert terrorist activities rather than public acts of protest. By early 1970, her wish would be realized. Weatherman's first public demonstration was its October 1969 "Days of Rage" protest in Chicago, timed to coincide with the trials of the Chicago Seven (a group of radical leftists led by Tom Hayden), who had fomented a riot at the Democratic Party nominating convention in that city the previous year. Advertised with the slogan "Bring the war home," "Days of Rage" sought to create enough chaos to shock the American public out of its alleged complacency vis a vis the Vietnam War. The opening "Days of Rage" salvo, designed to glorify the anarchist movement, was the October 8 demolition of a statue dedicated to the memory of eight policemen who had been killed in the Haymarket Labor Riot of 1886. Thereafter, some 300 people -- both members and supporters of the Weatherman agenda -- ravaged Chicago's business district, smashing windows and destroying automobiles. Six people were shot and seventy were arrested. The violence continued, though on a smaller scale, for each of the next two nights. As Sixties historian Todd Gitlin observed, however, no popular uprising was sparked by these events, much to the group's dismay. Notable "Days of Rage" leaders included Bill Ayers, now a Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, and Mark William Rudd, currently a mathematics professor at a New Mexico community college. ![]() | Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar - Bass Cover Second cover.. This song is pretty easy. Recorded at first try, but still some screw ups. Artist: Marilyn Manson Music: Antichrist Superstar Album: Antichrist Superstar (1996) Bass: Cort GB-PJ Tuning: Dropped D ----------------- Brian Hugh Warner (born January 5, 1969), better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, is an American musician and artist known for his outrageous stage persona and image as the lead singer of the eponymous band. His stage name was formed from the names of actress Marilyn Monroe and convicted murderer Charles Manson. In 2004, the band's hit "Mobscene" was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance". Warner was born in Canton, Ohio, the son of Barb (née Wyer) and Hugh Warner. His father was a Catholic and his mother Episcopalian. According to his autobiography The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, Warner is of German and Polish ancestry on his father's side. He was raised in his mother's religion, attending Heritage Christian School, though he later transferred out, graduating from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1987. In 1990, Warner was a college student attending Broward Community College. He was working toward a journalism degree, and gaining experience in the field by writing music articles for a South Florida lifestyle magazine, 25th Parallel when he met several of the musicians to whom his own band would later be compared, including My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Warner formed Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids in Florida in 1989 (the name was shortened to Marilyn Manson in 1992). Antichrist Superstar (sometimes written as Antichrist Svperstar as an allusion to Latin) is Marilyn Manson's second full-length studio release and was released in 1996. The album raised awareness of the band, and led to numerous protests due to the band's perceived anti-Christian stance. It was produced by the band's leader Manson and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. The album's title is a combination of the concept of the Antichrist with the title of the famed musical Jesus Christ Superstar. The influence of the latter can also be seen in the song "Angel with the Scabbed Wings", which features a riff strongly reminiscent of a portion of the Jesus Christ Superstar score. The album is considered a concept album. In a three part storyline, an abused and apathetic person (represented by "The Worm") becomes an influential celebrity and finally transforms into the powerful "Disintegrator". In an issue of Kerrang! magazine edited by Manson, he stated that the album was a tribute to - and inspired by - the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Much of the album content is deliberately vague, allowing listeners to draw independent conclusions. It has elaborate packaging, consisting of a black cardstock sleeve covering the plastic jewel case with graphics of Manson on both the front and back, the latter of which is flanked by the red Superstar Shock logo and the roman numerals IX, VI, III and VII. The booklet contains pictures of the band, a visual worm-to-angel metamorphosis, symbols related to the Kabbalah, medical diagrams, printed lyrics to each song, and liner notes including traditional thanks and credits as well as a curious entry found under the lyrics to the song "Irresponsible Hate Anthem", stating it was recorded live on February 14, 1997, despite the album being released well before that in October of 1996. Also, found on the front of the album cover is a circle surrounded by the words Heart, Mind, Complacent, and Malice. If you fold the booklet just right you can also find the hidden words Heart, Mind, Complacent, and Malice. The booklet also makes reference to Revelation chapter twelve, versus one through five, in the bible. The album is cyclical, as both opening and closing seconds include the distorted phrase "When you are suffering, know that I have betrayed you." When the album is placed on loop, the pacing between the sentences matches that of the additional distorted recitation found in the preceding hidden track. The names of the two latter cycles seem to be referencing two films by avantgarde filmmaker and satanist Kenneth Anger: Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome and Lucifer Rising. Antichrist Superstar is a promotional-only single off of Marilyn Manson's second studio album of the same name. The song itself is symbolic of the climax of the album's story, the point where the abused and wretched victim at the center of the tale takes on the identity of the Antichrist, rampaging the world and destroying anything in his path. This image can be conveyed by the song's aggressive sound and the frightening tone in which Manson sings, and could be an allusion to how his critics see him (as a threat to Christian morality and, therefore, the world). Rover's Morning Glory uses this song's intro as the show's intro song/anthem. |
