
The Chūō Expressway affords many fine views of
Mount Fuji.

divided, limited-access
toll road that serves
Tokyo and
Nagoya in
Japan. The Chūō follows an inland route from
Suginami Ward, Tokyo, through
Yamanashi,
Nagano and
Gifu Prefectures before entering
Aichi Prefecture and terminating just short of Nagoya at the junction with the Tomei Expressway in the
city of
Komaki.

Otsuki Junction in Yamanashi direction of Kawaguchiko Interchange in
Fujikawaguchiko, near
Mt. Fuji and the
Fuji Five Lakes.
The Chūō Expressway ranks among the highest in tolls in the world. Expect to pay at least 1000 Yen when taking even a short drive on the Chūō.
