'Cave Creek' is a town in
Maricopa County,
Arizona in the
United States. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 4,884.

Cave Creek is located at (33.828657, -111.954855).
According to the
United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 73.1
km² (28.2
mi²). 73.1 km² (28.2 mi²) of it is land. None of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the
census of 2000, there were 3,728 people, 1,571 households, and 1,101 families residing in the town. The
population density was 51.0/km² (132.0/mi²). There were 1,753 housing units at an average density of 24.0/km² (62.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 94.98%

Pacific Islander, 2.60% from
other races, and 1.45% from two or more races. 7.05% of the population were

Latino of any race.
There were 1,571 households out of which 27.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.0% were
married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% were non-families. 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.80.
In the town the population was spread out with 20.9% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 36.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females there were 100.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.5 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $59,938, and the median income for a family was $76,549. Males had a median income of $50,399 versus $31,607 for females. The
per capita income for the town was $38,070. About 6.0% of families and 7.7% of the population were below the
poverty line, including 12.9% of those under age 18 and 7.3% of those age 65 or over.
In July 2005, almost half of the 600,000 acre (2,400 km²) Cave Creek District of the 2.9 million acre (12,000 km²) Tonto National Forest burned away.
