![]() | David Archuleta: Music's a Way of Communicating This video is just a snippet from a much larger and longer music video that I made! Earlier this summer, I was asked by FanBlast to make a journey video and send it to Murray, Utah. I'm still not sure who was meant to view it! But I've kept it on my computer and decided that I would really like to share at least a bit of it with everybody. I finished it very early in July. The concept was to kinda follow David's Idol journey from the beginning to the finale. The portion of the video I have uploaded begins with his finale performances. In one of my other David videos, Music is Pretty Much My Life, I did a similar, much shorter recap of his Idol performances BEFORE the finale (because it had not aired yet). I decided that it'd be kinda nice to make a companion piece out of this video, and upload the segment where Music is Pretty Much My Life left off. If I'm making any sense ahahaha oh man. This isn't the full video so it may seem a bit incomplete! If you want to download the full, almost fifteen minute version, here are some download links. Beware, though, the file is 340MB! Craziness. DOWNLOAD: + http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WJLHQBOF + http://www.badongo.com/vid/791699 Hope you enjoy it and that you're all doing well! School has been pretty crazy busy for me, but I'll still be here on September 13th with my new video. Yay David! EDITED TO ADD: Because some people have been asking, the instrumental song used at the end is PM'S Love Theme by Craig Armstrong. :D I don't usually add honors to my video summary, but these were just so shocking to me that I have to put them down just to remember that they existed, oh my gosh! Sure, they're only for Canada, but wow! Thanks so much everyone! #14 - Most Discussed (Today) - Canada #3 - Most Discussed (Today) - Entertainment - Canada #69 - Most Discussed (Today) - Entertainment #5 - Top Favorites (Today) - Canada #84 - Top Favorites (Today) #3 - Top Favorites (Today) - Entertainment - Canada #25 - Top Favorites (Today) - Entertainment #83 - Top Favorites (This Week) - Entertainment - Canada #7 - Top Rated (Today) - Canada #1 - Top Rated (Today) - Entertainment - Canada #42 - Top Rated (Today) - Entertainment #50 - Top Rated (This Week) - Canada #10 - Top Rated (This Week) - Entertainment - Canada |

![]() | I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You) - Allison Crowe This funkily lo-fi recording is from a concert just before Christmas 2006 (more hometown glory - Winter). Allison Crowe performs "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)" - a song written in the '60s by Ronnie Shannon, and which was a break-through hit for Aretha Franklin. Bob Muller, curator of cover songs at JoniMitchell.com says: "it takes a lot of self-confidence to tackle Aretha's version of "I Never Loved a Man..." but Allison does and nails it just as good as the Queen of Soul herself. Her piano playing is equally exquisite. Treat yourself to one of the mightiest talents on the singer-songwriter scene today." Cheers to Del and Scott for capturing this happening. Warmest thanks to web creator extraordinaire Cylune for enabling this video to be enjoyed as it is ( : Another live, first-take, recording of this song appears on Allison Crowe's "This Little Bird" CD album. |
![]() | Canada Prime Minister Jean Chrétien grabs Clennett's throat Ce vidéo provient des archives de CBC ici: http://archives.cbc.ca/400d.asp?id=1-73-2048-12796-20&wm6=1 Tel qu'écrit sur leur site: "Prime Minister Jean Chrétien is in Hull, Que., on Feb. 15, 1996, to commemorate the first National Flag of Canada Day. But the celebration is upstaged by a bizarre altercation. When confronted by protester Bill Clennett, Chrétien grabs Clennett's throat and forces him to the ground. This un-prime-ministerial response startles everyone especially Chrétien's victim. "He came... and put me to the ground," Clennett describes in this TV clip. The 44-year old man was part of a small but vocal group protesting planned cuts to unemployment insurance benefits. The prime minister, a self-described "little guy from Shawinigan" defends his actions. "Some people came my way... and I had to go, so if you're in my way," says Chretien before driving away. " |

![]() | Canada's Great Experiment: 1935-1974 (Bill Abram, part 2 (Snowshoefilms 3-parts) THE CRIME OF THE CANADIAN BANKING SYSTEM For nearly 40 years, Canada - the people of Canada - had control of their own currency! Imagine! They founded their own bank and issued their own currency with no debt obligations to banks. Taxes were low and debt was too. They got themselves out of the depression that had been induced by the international banking cartel in 1929. By 1934, through the driving force of one man -- Gerald Grattan McGeer, Mayor of Vancouver, B.C. -- Canada founded the Bank of Canada and they were on their way to debt-free recovery. Problem was, the Canadians, busy building their own country, didn't think about, weren't taught about, didn't fully know about what they had -- and they lost it to the banking cartel in 1974. A Bilderberg-banker plan to take it away from them and mire them back in deep debt, forcing them to sell off and privatize everything they'd accomplished in those healthy four decades. Canada's Great Experiment was over. But all isn't lost. The structure is still there and so is the Bank of Canada. Bill Abram tells the story, also, of Nobel-prize winner Mohammad Yunus's bank, which demonstrates "poverty is not caused by poor people; poverty is caused by the system." Hocus pocus malthusianism as practiced by the Bilderbergers and their minions is exposed by Yunus and Abram. |
