'Cachoeira Alta' is a small
town and
municipality in south
Goiás state,
Brazil. The population was 8,672 inhabitants in 2005 in a total area of 1659.4 km². With approximately 150,000 head Cachoeira Alta has one of the largest cattle herds in the state.

Cachoeira Alta is located in the

Paranaiguara, 37 km. to the southeast.
