BROOKE SATCHWELL


'Brooke Kerith Satchwell' (born 14 November 1980 in Melbourne) is an Australian actress best known for playing Anne Wilkinson in the soap opera ''Neighbours''.
She first appeared on Australian television on 19 November 1996. She won the Best New Talent at the 1998 Logie Awards, and a Australian People's Choice Award for Favorite Teen Idol in 1999.

Personal life


★ She grew up as a country girl on the Mornington Peninsula, and admits her friends and family in Melbourne are a big part of her life. [1]
Career


★ Brooke modelled for Pantene and was signed to act as their 'brand ambassador' in 2004. [2]


★ She has promoted charity work as a fundraiser for the Starlight Children's Foundation Gift of a Lifetime, [3] and in joining the fight against sand mining that has destroyed all but one of Sydney's historic Kurnell sand dunes, which featured in many Australian films. [4]

★ Brooke got her big break when a casting agent suggested she model in a few commercials. Some words of advice from various make-up artists convinced her to get an agent and she stayed on their books for a year and a half. The audition for Neighbours came up, and two weeks later she was offered a role. [5]
Private life


★ Satchwell's five-year relationship with actor Matthew Newton ended in 2006. Newton was faced with four charges including common assault, intimidation, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Satchwell. Three of the charges were withdrawn by prosecutors, leaving Newton to face only a charge of common assault on which he pleaded guilty. [1].
